Has anyone else had it...?
My timeline has been..

3 days of awful ear ache (zero sleep due to pain)
Day 4 nose started dripping like a tap
Day 5 dry cough started, nose still dripping
Day 6 Sinus pain, headache, nose switching between bunged and dripping, phlegmy cough, nausea and mild to moderate body aches.

I can honestly say I have NEVER EVER had a cold like it.

Oh no. What's come back symptoms wise? I had an awful night. Shivered and shook literally all night. This morning my face was burning red. Then I've had to lie on top of the covers for hours to regulate my temperature. I'm getting in a terrible state coughing. Thankful that I don't have any other symptoms as yet.

How is everyone? Surviving on cough drops and new cough medicine. Got my work watch to check my oxygen which is 96 ish. My resting heart rate is over 100 although I don't feel anxious or anything. I'm just praying for sleep

Could be the flu doing the rounds as well.

I'm still not 100% and it's been about a month now. I still have the sniffles, sneezing on and off and blocked ears at night too. I've just finished work for Christmas so I'm hoping I can recover properly soon 😭

Have you never ever had a cold before? This sounds absolutely normal to me for a bad cold. Try having walking Pneumonia!

Welll aren't you just a ray of sunshine Confused

I had terrible snot and sinus issues with covid, along with the aches and fatigue. I don't think these tests are great at picking it up.

TruthThatsHardAsSteel · 17/12/2023 00:23

Got this today. It's definitely lessened the frequency of my coughing and perhaps eased it up a tiny bit. It's done much more than Covonia anyway. Just thought I would share.

@TruthThatsHardAsSteel ear issues mainly. Left ear is painful and blocked again. Shivery cold and just energy-less. I've had to get up and do things this weekend and maybe that's not helping but it's been weeks now and I can't stay in bed/in the house forever.

Aww ears awful, affects your balance as well. I know what you mean, I'm in the bed for weeks camp. I've got a broken ankle. Has anyone looked in the mirror? My gosh, not a pretty picture at all. Big black eyes

We're 4 weeks on here. I'm still sniffley, but nothing to write home about. Dd (3.9), who got over the vomiting and cold far quicker than I, has just, today, regained her appetite. I've gotten used to her eating a few mouthfuls then declaring she's full. Today she's had a full bowl of Coco Pops (our Sunday treat), two lots of pesto pasta for lunch and steak pie, chips and peas for dinner (and wanted seconds) and is now tucking into a bowl of fruit.

I'm reluctant to declare we're actually over it but I'm hopeful the end is in sight.

Still coughing ☹️and feeling more and more anxious that the adult DC might bring another cold home at Christmas. I honestly fear being desperately ill if I catch anything else as I am asthmatic.
