I never knew there was such a thing!

A room for wrapping presents? I don't currently have room for all my books let alone yards of paper and fancy ribbons! Love the idea of a house with that many rooms. I'd have a wrapping room, a dollshouse room, a china room...

KateyCuckoo · 02/11/2023 21:35

I don't even have a room for each of my children!

DilemmaDelilah · 02/11/2023 21:35

One day... when I am rich! Meanwhile I use my office as I can stop anyone else going in there and I have a large desk.

PaminaMozart · 02/11/2023 21:36

Would be an indication that they've bought way too many presents, as in too much stuff that will soon end up in a landfill near you...

UdderlyPumpkin · 02/11/2023 21:37

No but I do have a craft room. I’m very lucky to have it!

DisforDarkChocolate · 02/11/2023 21:37

I'm sure Aaron Spellings house had one. I'd like a room just for storing Christmas decorations.

youngestisapsycho · 02/11/2023 21:38

LOL... DH is working on a house (mansion) refurb. There will be a wrapping room. Also a library and a formal library amongst many other rooms.... oh, and a seasonal dressing room.. what is that??

If you mean a room I generally wrap gifts in I do yes but not a specific room just for wrapping.

MrsQTip · 02/11/2023 21:39

No

MossGrowsFat · 02/11/2023 21:40

If I had enough money for a 'wrapping room' I sure as hell would be outsourcing my wrapping!

Londonscallingme · 02/11/2023 21:40

Like a permanent wrapping room? Or a ‘spare room’ temporarily dedicated to wrapping gifts before Christmas?? I can’t imagine how many rooms I’d need in order to permanently designate one just for wrapping but it’s far more than I have currently 😂

youngestisapsycho · 02/11/2023 21:40

They must buy a lot of presents! There are also rooms for live in staff.... I wonder if they do the wrapping?

Aaron spellings wife had a wrapping room because she loved wrapping gifts so much.

DramaAlpaca · 02/11/2023 21:42

No - but one of my neighbours has a sewing room and another has an upstairs laundry room. I'm not sure which I envy the most.

Pinkpinkpink15 · 02/11/2023 21:43

I'd have to have a LOT of rooms before I dedicated one to wrapping though I've seen some beautiful ones.

PaminaMozart · 02/11/2023 21:47

I thought I was doing well as I have a dedicated grocery bag with several rolls of wrapping paper, ribbon and a bunch of generic cards...

TheChosenTwo · 02/11/2023 21:48

No but I’d like one!
until I have one, I’ll make do with my office where I can shut the door and no one will bother me.
I bloody love wrapping and would never outsource it no matter how rich I was - I go and wrap for friends/family at Christmas too 😂 (None of them have wrapping rooms either, Peasants).

LuluBlakey1 · 02/11/2023 21:49

No but I have a studio where I paint, sew and have a bit of sanity and I do wrap things in there. It's my space.

Forgottenmypasswordagain · 02/11/2023 21:54

No, not I!

JamMakingWannaBe · 02/11/2023 21:54

I wrap gifts using my ironing board as I fit it easier to stand than to sit at a table to Xmas giftwrap.
I barely iron clothes so it's a chance to make my ironing board feel useful and loved.

Bouncyball23 · 02/11/2023 21:54

I have a living room that turns into a wrapping room once dc in bed, does that count?

WeighDownOnMe · 02/11/2023 21:57

Yes. But I usually call it 'the kitchen'.

Iphianassa · 02/11/2023 22:01

Just about the only thing I remember from ‘Will and Grace’ is that their friend Karen, who had a wealthy husband, also had a gift wrapping room. The NY apartment she lived in must have been very large.

DrFoxtrot · 02/11/2023 22:04

Imagine a room where the scissors and sellotape never go missing 😌

SundayAnon · 02/11/2023 22:09

No. But I have a spare bedroom, which has a very wide and deep wrapping drawer.

It has, rolls of paper, gift bags, scissors, sellotape, ribbons etc.

So that room is where the wrapping is done.
