No. But I have a spare bedroom, which has a very wide and deep wrapping drawer.

It has, rolls of paper, gift bags, scissors, sellotape, ribbons etc.

So that room is where the wrapping is done.

Ooh that’s def a wrapping room then! 😆

I’d want Rowan Atkinson in Love Actually for mine.

Only on Christmas Eve

Aaron spellings wife had a wrapping room because she loved wrapping gifts so much.

Apparently she had 3 gift wrapping rooms Confused

Spelling has three gift-wrapping rooms in the home, including the smallest for everyday gifts (pictured). "When Liam was still coming to see me," says Spelling of estranged daughter Tori's 2-year-old son, "we changed his diapers right here on this table, so it's good for all kinds of wrapping." The other two wrapping rooms include one in the attic, which has a shrink-wrap machine, and one in the basement devoted solely to wrapping Christmas and Easter gifts.

"seasonal dressing room"? A place to store different curtains for winter /summer, cushions, duvets, halloween stuff, Xmas and Easter stuff...

CrapBucket · 02/11/2023 22:29

I’d like a rapping room, every time you go in Run DMC is playing. Sadly I don’t have one. I’d like that, but that’s the way it is.

fyn · 02/11/2023 22:29

MIL does, she also has a room for Christmas decorations. Her house is very large and she’s incapable of throwing away wrapping. She takes it back once we’ve opened gifts because she knows we will bin it!

Duckskitbank · 02/11/2023 22:29

Traditional wrapping rooms are rather 90s! I covet a Furoshiki room, with an incredible selection of fabric wraps to choose from and instructions booklets for all sorts of fancy wrapping.

We’ve always had the exact same in every house we’ve lived! The very deep extra large drawer with all the gift wrapping stuff. 🥰

LOL... DH is working on a house (mansion) refurb. There will be a wrapping room. Also a library and a formal library amongst many other rooms.... oh, and a seasonal dressing room.. what is that??

Almost certainly a sign no one living there reads seriously. Like those footballers’ kitchens with gleaming, bare work surfaces with a single butternut squash artfully lying alone, when they live on takeaways and whatever the team nutritionist is feeding them at the training ground.

WannaLiveInABubble · 02/11/2023 22:34

Yes! Well if my loft counts?
Its boarded and i carpeted with our spare carpet a 10x 10 section. Main light and fairy lights round beams, I buy for xmas and hide it up there. Then i just sit up there, chocolate, music and wrap when dcs at school over 2 or 3 days
Otherwise means taking it up. Bringing down to wrap. Hiding it back up there, bringing down at xmas.
Too much hassle and I have no where else to hide it all.

Didn't Kris Jenner once forget that she'd bought an apartment for wrapping?

theduchessofspork · 02/11/2023 22:41

I’d never heard of this so I googled and apparently there is also a ‘gifting closet’ where you keep spare gifts AND the stuff to wrap them in.

Maybe there are also regifting closets where if all gets re-gift tagged before it eventually hits landfill..

SabrinaThwaite · 02/11/2023 22:42

a library and a formal library

I work at a big old country house which had a library for the (then) modern books that an important gentleman might like to peruse and show off to his friends, and a separate library for manuscripts and estate documents, the workaday things.

There is quite some pathos in having 3 wrapping rooms, but being estranged from the grandchild you want to wrap things for.

Daffyyellow · 02/11/2023 22:47

We have a room where we always wrap presents - as it has a door you can shut for privacy. The cupboard where the wrapping paper is kept is in the same room. The present cupboard (aka under stairs cupboard) is also just outside the door.

But it is not a dedicated room! It’s also the drawing room!!

PrincessHoneysuckle · 02/11/2023 22:49

Kris Jenner has an apartment she forgot she owned that she's uses to wrap presents.
Another world.

Phewthatwasclose · 02/11/2023 22:49

Hell yeah!!

rainbowsparkle28 · 02/11/2023 22:51

If only, I can dream 😂 Unless you mean the room in which I pretty much do everything (live in flat so kitchen-diner-living room all in one) with the rug in where I would usually sit and wrap in front of the telly?!...🤔

Imagine a room where the scissors and sellotape never go missing 😌

With husband, children and dog everything goes missing.

Yes! She has an entire condo for wrapping. I think her mother also has one in the same building.

Vetoncall · 02/11/2023 22:59

I use one of our spare bedrooms as a dressing room and I store birthday/Christmas presents in there. I got one of those big Amazon wrapping paper/paraphernalia storage case things which lives in the bottom of one of the wardrobes. I wrap birthday/miscellaneous presents in that room but always do Christmas presents in the living room so I can watch Elf or The Muppet Christmas Carol at the same time 😄

No - but one of my neighbours has a sewing room and another has an upstairs laundry room. I'm not sure which I envy the most.

I have a sewing room and an upstairs laundry (drying) room.
It's also the guest bedroom, my room when DH is snoring, and is absolutely my wrapping room! Plus all my books live in there, and a lot of random stuff that we can't find space for.

But I do know I'm very lucky.......Grin

Medlady · 02/11/2023 23:43

Is your DH working for Niles Crane?

jlpth · 02/11/2023 23:46

I have a roll of wrapping paper under my sofa. In fact I think I recently used it all up.

some people have craft rooms. Perhaps a wrapping room is that?
