I never knew there was such a thing!

I can go one better - I know of an ultra wealthy quasi-celeb (well known but pretty much just for being rich) who does so much net a porter type shopping (tells the personal shopper she wants eg a “camel coat, pull some in” and six will arrive to try on) that they had a post office branch installed at their property to get direct collections!

I’d LOVE to know who this is. Initials please!! Or some hint?

No. I like to wrap in front of the fire, with a crap Hallmark-type Christmas movie on and a glass of wine next to me.

I have a wrapping cupboard (also where I keep carrier bags and posting stuff) which is already beyond the summit of my humble dreams!

At my old house I used the attic which was carpeted and had a little sofa up there so I could wrap in peace, listening to the radio and drinking baileys.
Now this is where I’m going to sound all poncy but now I have a library that becomes out of bounds in the run up to Christmas so I can store all the gifts and take my time wrapping them!

This would be a dream come true. I’m mentally going through the rooms in our house (it won’t take long) to decide which room to allocate as a wrapping room. At the moment I’m thinking Ds2 will have to move out 😂

GettingSickOfYourNonsense · 03/11/2023 15:42

Of course! Ours is between the library and the Hypnotherapy spa room 😂

I always wanted a butler’s pantry. As long as it came with an actual butler.

In Frasier Niles’ house had a gift wrapping room ( when Marty got lost in the house and had to phone for directions)

Would be an indication that they've bought way too many presents, as in too much stuff that will soon end up in a landfill near you...

Oh god 🙄

I’m so taking a day off to do this!

LubaLuca · 03/11/2023 18:38

I suppose I do for a wonderful week or so in December. It's me hunched over the spare bed shouting "Will you shut that fucking door?! Where's that fucking Sellotape?!" I'm truly blessed.

MrsQTip · 03/11/2023 19:08

Wasn’t this Nile’s from Frasier, one of his stipulations when house hunting ….🤣
edit. Abbey has already remembered this !

Missingmyusername · 03/11/2023 19:11

We do have a room we use- cellar room, but it’s not Santa’s grotto unfortunately lol just somewhere we can wrap and hide pressies! It’s heavily armed with cctv 😂 1 chonky Labrador and 1 DH on Christmas Eve!

HoobleDooble · 04/11/2023 18:15

Wrapping room? I don't even have a swinging a cat room! I'd love to come home one day and find a door I've never noticed before which leads to a massive empty room.

Hellers · 04/11/2023 18:17

I'm planning a wrapping drawer to put all the stuff in and I thought I was being ultra organized. Can't believe people would have a whole room!

Thehonestybox · 04/11/2023 19:05

My mum used to work at a house that had a wrapping room! She took me round at Christmas and it was truly a medium-sized room stuffed, like absolutely STUFFED with presents and wrapping paper. I was obsessed.

The 12 year old son also had his own wing basically that included his own bedroom, lounge area, bathroom and drumming room.
