Tinned potatoes are fantastic

I used them for the first time yesterday in a soup. It was such a novelty to instantly have a small quantity of peeled and parboiled potatoes! They'll be good to add to any sort of mixed vegetable dish where I want a little bit of potato in there but not loads, like a curry, without having to prep them beforehand. I'm also imagining slicing them up and using them as a hot pot topping.

Being a tinned-goods influencer on Instagram could be a new trend for winter 2023/2024!

I too have been “influenced” by this thread.Grin

I bought some pre-cooked potatoes. They were vacuum packed in plastic, not tinned, as that was what they had in my local supermarket.

Rinsed, patted dry, 15 minutes on max in the air fryer.
They came out looking good but tasting very sad.
The sort of thing you’d find at a motorway service station.

But I’ll keep them in mind for a quick convenient fix. They’ll always be “punky potatoes” to me…
