My daughter is 3. Possible infection. She's had a seizure and I'm waiting for an ambulance but I feel so so scared and so so alone. Please

Absolutely scandalous that ambulances cannot be available for such events. How awful. I hope you are now in the safe hands of medical staff and your wee girl makes a full recovery. @sugaryouth1 we are all thinking of you… hope you’re okay after such a horrible thing to go through too. X

Went through this when my eldest was 2 also was febrile but she was non responsive you've done the right thing not waiting at 39.5 she needs it to get the temp down and fluid run through while they assess where the issue is coming from.

Bloody hell, I think you have done absolutely the right thing OP. 4 hour wait for an unresponsive 3 year old is appalling! I hope you are now at the hospital and she is getting the treatment she needs.

Please make sure you cancel the ambulance.
It's terrible the service is like it is but you would not believe the amount of ridiculous things people call for, things where they really could seek other treatment options or could get themselves to hospital but don't. It means they then struggle to see to the serious jobs like this one.
Believe me they will have been trying to get someone to you sooner.

We've been seen..pretty much as soon as we stepped thru. She's come round..she's very groggy but she gave me a smile. She's got iv fluids and waiting for some blood to be taken. I am so so grateful for the support I've received here
