Non-London People: How did you do on the London metro memory game?

Limth · 24/10/2023 16:37

If you haven't heard of it, it's here

I've never lived in London and haven't been there for over a decade. I got 25.7% which I was pretty happy with.

I've now set myself the challenge to better my score just a little bit each day.

London Tube Memory Game

How many of the London Tube stations can you name from memory?

Made it to 97.2% on 2 coffees this morning. Theres one DLR station I cannot remember despite going through it regularly, but otherwise NW/depths of the Metropolitan line has been my nemesis.

I think DH an I are going to be obsessed by this game until we both can get 100%

LittleG69 · 27/10/2023 13:31

Just over 50% - my DLR and over ground knowledge have let me down

Hbh17 · 27/10/2023 13:59

32%, which I thought pretty good for someone who has never lived near London. I find it helped to visualise the lines I use most often when I visit.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 27/10/2023 14:34

This is very embarrassing, I'm at 28.8% despite having lived in London for two decades. I left over a decade ago so I'm not surprised that I don't know the Elizabeth line, but I really thought I would have done much better than I have.

That is brilliant, well done!

ILookAtTheFloor · 27/10/2023 16:30

I've stalled on 64%, although I've been busy today. Just remembered one now. I can't stop!

CrushingOnRubies · 27/10/2023 22:35

16.2% but will be thinking of more before I go to sleep

helpyhelperton · 28/10/2023 12:03

I'm throwing the towel in at 65% going into London today so anything I get now will be cheating.

Great game though!

Delphigirl · 28/10/2023 13:04

54% - almost perfect on west London to the city, not too bad on north London but better now than ne, not bad south west, terrible south east and East is an embarrassing howling empty hole.

which doesn’t surprise me, I’ve never been east of Bow and I only went there once

BarbaraofSeville · 24/10/2023 17:26

You did better than I did, I got bored at around 3% and it apparently didn't recognise King's Cross, with or without the hyphen.

That's what is annoying me!

AutumnCrow · 28/10/2023 14:28

DP and I are in the joyous stage now of randomly guessing stations (!), trying things that contain the words kings, queens, house, park, central, north, south etc. We've done remarkably well so far and shot up to 55% Grin

LlynTegid · 28/10/2023 14:47

I live in Greater London so my score mentioned earlier is not eligible for the OPs question.

Who claims the non-Londoners highest score then? Some have not been clear if they live (or work) in the capital.

FionaJT · 28/10/2023 14:47

I got to 36% over a couple of hours one evening, spent the next day racking my brains and making lucky guesses and gave up at 50% as I was getting a bit obsessed :) I lived in London for about 5 years, 20 years ago, and visit maybe once a year so think I did pretty well.

ricecakesareshit · 28/10/2023 21:42

We're on 47.3%. Never lived or worked in London Smile
