Non-London People: How did you do on the London metro memory game?

I've never lived in London and haven't been there for over a decade. I got 25.7% which I was pretty happy with.

I've now set myself the challenge to better my score just a little bit each day.

I think it should only work if you know where they are on the lines too, otherwise it's just a list. Not a tube geography checker! When I'm playing I like to see if I know where they are

15.5 - the central ones and where I studied or worked years ago. Gave up a bit might have got more.

I clicked the link to give it a go and had an instant blank and couldn't think of a single station. I lived there for two decades although haven't been back much for over a decade now. I closed the screen but I'll go back after dinner. I could start by doing my route to work from all the different locations that I lived.

What are you support do? The link is juts asking me to name a station but there are no clues or anything

I'm technically still a Londoner but can you leave the game and it will save? Otherwise it will take ages! Thanks.

15.7. I'm in Yorkshire so rarely go to London - about half the names I got were from remembering stations that had been mentioned in London-set novels 😄.

I did manage Kings X St P. correctly, as on the odd occasion I do go down to London, that's the station I come in on.

Some I have no idea how I knew - Hainault, for instance - no clue where it is, can't remember it being in a book, but for some reason it was lodged in a brain recess.

I'm at 47.6% - determined to get to 50% but struggling a bit. Some lines are new since I left. I do have one of those sort of brains though. what do people think the rules are for getting the rest? Or do I just leave it at that?

Completely addicted! Bakerloo and virtually all of Piccadilly done so far but need to have break to cook dinner. Back for more later, just hope it remembers my progress!

My spelling is so bad I've given up at 19%! Don't know London at all, visited twice in 30 years, so quite pleased with my result....must be all the Sherlock Holmes I read!

I’m only good on the metropolitan line, end of lines and anywhere friends used to live. I started off systematically, but then gave up on that.

@Limth are you from the North East? I've lived in London for the last 30 years and the only other person I've heard calling it the Metro was my Mum, visiting from Sunderland. 🙂

40%! Am stuck on some really obvious ones. I don't know the suburbs at all except for the line termini.

I don't know many that aren't un The London Game. So my Jubilee , Elizabeth, and DLR are very sparse, as are all the suburbs except to the west.

Similar - outside of 'big' London stations, most mine came from song lyrics or TV programmes. I got Mile End, Brixton, Boundsgree from 'Has It Come To This' by The Streets. I didn't get Ealing even though that's in the lyrics because it's actually Ealing Broadway... stupid Mike Skinner.

I'm not, no. I called it the Metro because that's in the website name.

There is West Ealing as well! I actually got both the Ealings because a long-dead relative used to live in West Ealing.

21.2 but given up now. Lived in greater London 38 years ago but only been back a handful of times since then.

23.1 now I've gone through a load of songs and football grounds!

Do you have to just put in all the stations you know? Does it not just take ages?
