A couple of things I've enjoyed recently on Netflix. What about you?

A Swedish (subtitled) satire/horror film called The Conference (violent imaginative murders everywhere (looked away at the hot-tub bitShock).

A crime/murder/detective film called Reptile (Justin Timberlake is in it, I never realised until after). Really enjoyed this one.

Season 3 of Lupin. Although if you have never watched it you will need to watch 1 and 2 first.

magicstar1 · 17/10/2023 14:45

I'm watching Orange is the New Black. I know it's been out for a few years now, but I've never seen it before and am really enjoying it.

Dear Child is fabulous....however I'm doubting if it's on netflix or not now!

Is it scary? Blush

delilabell · 17/10/2023 15:12

No! It's a bit like a thriller. Like room or the missing 😊

JustFrustrated · 17/10/2023 15:14

Lupin, all the seasons are excellent
The Stranger
Glow

Blingstar · 17/10/2023 15:14

Lupin and Bluezones are worth a watch.

qotsa · 17/10/2023 15:17

Ooo. I like this thread. The Last Kingdom i am loving at the moment.

Applerumleandcustard · 17/10/2023 15:20

I’m watching Virgin River ( it’s so bad , it’s addictive and I can’t stop watching )
Sweet Magnolias
Lupin

Itwasamemoment · 17/10/2023 15:22

Wham documentary. Absolutely brilliant and nostalgic.

cheezncrackers · 17/10/2023 15:24

I'm watching Ozark - yes I know it's an old one and everyone else has seen it, but we only just got Netflix. Loved seasons one and two, season three rather jumped the shark and I haven't enjoyed it as much. Really annoying new character who you could tell was going to be a problem right from the start. I couldn't wait for the cartel to off him Grin

Edited

Seasons 1 and 2 are genius- some of the best TV of all time.

But it goes down hill in Season 3 and I absolutely hated Season 4.

Devilsmommy · 17/10/2023 15:27

@MarchXX I completely agree with Reptile, I thoroughly enjoyed watching that. I'm usually not a huge fan of films on Netflix, they're better for TV series I think

isthismylifenow · 17/10/2023 15:27

Godless, it's a few years old now. But I just finished it and thought it was a good watch.

cheezncrackers · 17/10/2023 15:28

Oh no @XelaM! I was hoping season four might improve again. What a shame Sad

tulipsunday · 17/10/2023 15:29

Dear Child - great if you enjoy psychological thrillers and don't mind subtitles.

PuppyMcPupFace · 17/10/2023 15:29

I rewatched Sex Education in preparation for the last series. How can something so good turn so bad 😳

Happierwithouthim · 17/10/2023 15:31

I've just started Virgin River and new series of Sex Education, it's not as good I think or have I grown out of it?
Finished The Missing Series 1, I'd seen Series 2 years ago, I love this

merrymelodies · 17/10/2023 15:32

Studio 54 documentary was interesting. I was in my early teens at the time so remember the music and the hype.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story was excellent. I was sad when it finished.

merrymelodies · 17/10/2023 15:33

Gave up with Sex Education. OTT.

IHeartGeneHunt · 17/10/2023 15:35

Ash Vs Evil Dead, just watched it for maybe the fourth time, still great
Midnight Mass is very good
The Stranger was quite enjoyable

NC2315 · 17/10/2023 15:35

The fall of the house of usher is good

RubyBoozeDay · 17/10/2023 15:40

The Syndicate is a good series, I would recommend watching that, particularly if you're feeling a bit downhearted. It's proper feel good TV.

PickAChew · 17/10/2023 15:41

Recently we've enjoyed The Mire (polish drama) and Kleo - German, very Killing eve in style and dark humour with some fab old cars in it. Mostly Ladas! Both set around the end of the cold war. Trapped and Entrapped (Icelandic) are excellent.

Currently watching Public Enemy (Belgian) and it has some of the worst policing we've ever seen. We filled our subtitled cop drama bingo card by the end of the first season.
