A couple of things I've enjoyed recently on Netflix. What about you?

A Swedish (subtitled) satire/horror film called The Conference (violent imaginative murders everywhere (looked away at the hot-tub bitShock).

A crime/murder/detective film called Reptile (Justin Timberlake is in it, I never realised until after). Really enjoyed this one.

Think I might have started watching glitch but for some reason gave up...might have to try again.
Is it the one with a sort of young guy who was a solider in the past?(I liked him) Can't tell from looking online.

Yes that’s the one!

Glitch series 1 and 2 is brilliant, but they jump the shark in series 3 and ruin it. Watch 1 and 2 and pretend 3 doesn't exist. My favourite is Paddy, the mayor of Yoorana, who doesn't take the tags off his shoplifted clothing at any point.

Phew! Well I have finally completed the binge-watch of Lupin. Loved it!!! Thanks to everyone who recommended it.

I'm nearly finished season 2 of glitch. If it's good, I'll leave it there!

Another Australian thing I loved, totally different, "Fisk". Binged it in 2 evenings. Quirky and funny.

AbsolutelyFemale · 22/10/2023 22:19

I love The Witcher on Netflix although not sure how I'm going to cope with the loss of Henry Cavill.

Watch Young Sheldon with my 11 year old. Very funny.

I have also been revisiting Arrested Development. So funny and downright daft.

Normalsizedsalad · 22/10/2023 22:30

Just started The fall of the ushers house. Didn't realise it's one from the Haunting of Hill house swries. Love it

Gilead · 22/10/2023 23:47

Bing watched Bodies last night. Detective story with a twist. Excellent!

Loubelle70 · 22/10/2023 23:49

Schitts creek (watch over and over though)

Nanette...hannah gadsby (sic). Amazing feminist standup comedy. Love her

MrsMiddleMother · 23/10/2023 00:09

Also really enjoyed reptile! I've just finished watching The fall of the House of Usher and Midnight Mass, both brilliant by Mike Flanagan

bronkie · 23/10/2023 00:21

Burning Bodies!

fussychica · 23/10/2023 08:32

Top picks from the last few years. Not all on Netflix
Better Call Saul
Godless
Money Heist
Ozark
The law according to Lydia Poet
Das Boot
Babylon Berlin
Kleo
Watch lots of foreign stuff in original language. Having the subtitles on for most programmes in English now so it makes no odds.
Who is Erin Carter was one of the worst programmes I've ever tried to to watch.
Currently really enjoying Mrs Maisel, il Cacciatore, the Patients of Dr Garcia, Lincoln Lawyer

supercalifragilistic123 · 23/10/2023 08:43

A bit out there but I've really enjoyed the Korean game/reality TV things. Netflix puts a lot of effort and money in to them! Lots of twisty cliff hangers and massive sets, plus a bit of craziness thrown in.

The devil's plan, physical 100 and sirens island. Plus new world.

The first two are dubbed.

Loubelle70 · 23/10/2023 09:23

Agree. The new series fall house usher was great x

brownbeauty80 · 23/10/2023 09:31

In time
Reptile
Purge
Fall
In the tall grass
And lots of Indian ones too..

BigPussyEnergy · 23/10/2023 10:43

I’m currently watching Dark and it’s brilliant - amazing casting, gripping story with twists and turns. It’s absolutely fucking baffling at times, but so good!

I have to watch each episode at least twice and have made a notebook with family trees and character notes so that I can try and keep track of who is who 😂 but it’s 100% worth the effort of concentrating so hard - definitely one to watch with phone on silent, especially if you’re watching with subtitles.

Normalsizedsalad · 23/10/2023 10:44

Dark was 10* but yes, you feel like you need to do a diagram of who is who and when😂

Edited

I’ve got a massive middle page where I plan to put everyone once I finish and then watch it all again!

I rewatched Sex Education in preparation for the last series. How can something so good turn so bad 😳

Same! The last series is such a load of posturing wank.

im finding Netflix rather dull at the moment tbh. I’m rewatching drive to survive and the office (us) but nothing terribly exciting!

Appalonia · 23/10/2023 11:05

Loved Firefly Lane, so great to see a series based around female friendship. And loved the clothes from the 70s and 80s!

Appalonia · 23/10/2023 11:26

Also really enjoyed Inventing Anna

MarchXX · 23/10/2023 20:30

I've thought of another great netflix series: Miss Fishers Murder Mysteries. Highly recommend it. Just finished Fisk Grin.

Oh sorry just checked, it was removed from netflix in 2019. Such a shame. Three series, too.
