It's worried about the rise of anti-semitism. Do you think the same thing will happen here?

What happened in London yesterday should be a national shame. Glorifying of Hamas. Calling for another Holocaust and endless chants of “from the river to the sea”. Ended with rioting in Trafalgar Square and fireworks being lobbed at the National Gallery.

British Jews feel afraid and alone and I don’t blame them, though I do stand with them and want them to know many of us are disgusted.

I so agree

I can’t engage with you. You seem entirely incapable of anything but sound bites.

Always worrying when people want to stop peaceful protest. People showed their love for the Palestinian people who have been oppressed by Israel and abandoned by the world. No one called for a holocaust - that is simply untrue.

You cannot make people not care about the Palestinians despite the consistent and strategic dehumanising of them by the Israeli regime.

Thanks @giddymonday seems like they were arrested and I’m glad for it.
however , tens of thousands of people shouldn’t be accountable for what 15 people do in a demo. Same way Palestinians shouldn’t be accountable for what hamas does or the Jews for what the Israel government does.

Alexandra2001 · 15/10/2023 08:56

So you refuse to answer anything i asked?

You appear to want the Israelis to capitulate and in your world Hamas (who want Israel to be destroyed) will suddenly rescind this and become peace makers, happy for a 2 state solution.

No they wouldn't, they d go into Israel and kill any Jew they could find & they wouldn't stop.

Hamas was created by Netanyahu and funded by Israel. Do you deny this? Palestinians hate Hamas.

That is a lie and you know it. Israel tried to offer Gaza autonomy.

So if Palestinians hate Hamas too, no one will miss them when they are removed.

Hundreds of attacks on innocent Jews in London is a good enough reason to stop inciting more violence. I feel terrible for those poor families living in fear, we have never seen Jews attack Muslims have we? It’s grossly unfair to not acknowledge the aggressor here.

Ratsoffasinkingsauage · 15/10/2023 08:19

That protest wasn’t peaceful. Some of the activists sought out people who they thought were Jewish on the route to taunt them about the rape and murder of Jewish families. It was a sickening display equal to an EDL March.

That protest was peaceful bar a few idiots. So sick of people ignoring the tens of thousands and highlighting a few idiots.

Of course the DM and it's ilk will also headline the few idiots.

Are you kidding me? I've experienced plenty antisemitism in the UK. An older boy called my four year old a murderer today because she's Jewish. You can't even find any Jewish kids books in my local libraries meanwhile there are plenty of books celebrating all religions.

Someone who isn't a British Jew should not comment on whether or not the UK is tolerant to Jews or not.

Well if that is the case as I am not Jewish, I will no longer be able to say that i think anti-semitism is increasing in the UK.

Can you provide the proof of the hundreds of attacks please?

What autonomy? How can people be autonomous when everything that enters and leaves their area is controlled by Palestine. When people are blockaded in?

Oppression and occupation is not autonomy.

It incites more hatred and violence and does nothing to help Gaza

This is a lie and you know it.

Oh really? Who was it who ripped up water pipes to use as rockets and stripped the greenhouses in 2005?

Perhaps you can also provide a source for this claim:
Let us not forget that Hamas was set up by Netanyahu

Yes, it's appalling how the immediate response to the pogrom a week ago (before there had even been talk of retaliation) was to celebrate in the streets.

BeggyMitchell · 15/10/2023 11:06

I'm glad the atrocities of October 7th are finally being given their proper name:

A nation was not culpable. Terrorists from that nation were culpable.

What is monstrous is a refusal to distinguish between terrorists and a civilian population and using one genocide to justify another. Genocide under any circumstances is NEVER justified.

giddymonday · 15/10/2023 11:18

wake up. They were cheering the armed response! Palestinian sympathisers were filmed ripping down photos of
missing Israeli people a couple of days ago. I suppose you'll call that propaganda even though it's on video. They might
not be Hamas but they might as well be.
Woefully naive to believe that Hamas are a thug group hated by Palestinians.
They have a huge amount of
support in Palestine.
