Something that made you happy today.

I have very little money to spare so I've recently got into charity shopping. I bloody love it!

Today I purchased 2 T-shirts, a pair of grey jeans and a real silver ring with an aquamarine stone all for £4.96. What a bargain.

This makes me incredibly happy!

I also had a voucher for Christmas and today got my nose pierced (again)!

It's those little things....

What made you happy?

Getting my cookies out of the oven

Testing out my new duvet and finding it snugglicious

dudsville · 11/10/2023 22:21

I had the day off to myself, made an amassing breakfast, lots of hot drinks, then a spinach, lentil and tofu curry. I spent the day quietly organising for Christmas, which I need to do before the end of the month as I'm away a lot of November and then festive hosting starts for us at the beginning of December. I then also did some online shopping for me. It was a peaceful and tasty day!

Someone I don’t know reached out to give the most lovely feedback on our podcast. She didn’t have to do it, and it probably took her five minutes, but it made my day.

As a family, at dinner time every day we all have to pick something that made us happy, so I love this thread!

I helped a new group of people actively improve their performance - I’m happy for them but so sad it wasn’t available when I joined.

Mixed and I can’t help wonder why?

LunaNorth · 11/10/2023 22:26

Went swimming at a local lake and had it pretty much all to myself.

Also received a 1984 Tammy annual that I had when I was little, so that will be a trip down memory lane!

TheChosenTwo · 11/10/2023 22:27

Went for my swim this morning which always puts me in a better mood before work despite the ungodly 5:45 alarm call!

DollyDan · 11/10/2023 22:29

The sunshine today! Changed all the beds and dried everything outside and went for a long lunchtime walk, was glorious😍

Coldinscotland · 11/10/2023 22:34

Just been watching a herd of deer on Mull. The noise the stag made was magnificent!

I've had a really rubbish few weeks for various reasons - one being that I will probably made redundant soon.

This afternoon, rather than sitting staring at my laptop waiting for information on the future of the company, I took a proper lunch break, cooked myself a hot meal rather than just making a sandwich then I took an extra half hour and done some of the jigsaw puzzle my daughter has been working on. It made me feel happier than I have in ages!

midlifemelancholy · 11/10/2023 22:35

I went to an art gallery and it was magical

There was a dark chocolate bar, with cacao nibs in, in one particular supermarket. The last time I went in looking for it, they didn't have it, again, so I assumed it's been discontinued.

Found a version in a different supermarket today 😁

My small person coming home from nursery school with his communication switch, watching him try really, really hard to get his hand where it needed to be to press it then finally getting there and doing it. He did his happy dance when the recording on the switch told me something he'd done well at school today. He's 3, with complex disabilities but school is opening up a whole new world for him.

Got asked for ID when buying a vape...

My eldest is eighteen on Saturday and is been feeling every one of my forty years so I could have kissed the shopkeeper!

She was apologetic so I told her she'd made my day and she told me I looked lovely and young. I'm crediting my sober October and her poor eyesight for the whole happy exchange 😊

Winnipeggy · 11/10/2023 22:41

I asked my toddler for a kiss and she obliged....very rare occurrence!

bonbon2023 · 11/10/2023 22:41

My weekly subway salad 😆

HotSince82 · 11/10/2023 22:41

@Ratfinkstinkypink that's so lovely, good for you and your little love

ColoursChangingHue · 11/10/2023 22:44

Getting my ears hoovered out by an audiologist, I had pain for 2 weeks when I had to put lots of ear drops in and was partially deaf it was like swimming underwater for 2 weeks.

Spookymormonhelldream · 11/10/2023 22:45

Someone I think a lot of was really grateful for some help I gave them today and I felt good about that 😊

overwhelmed2023 · 11/10/2023 22:45

I saw both a fox and hedgehog on the way home.

Toddler101 · 11/10/2023 22:46

Delivering two large bags of baby clothes, unused nappies and new mum toiletries to a local charity gave me the warm and fuzzies. My baby has just outgrown them!

CrapBucket · 11/10/2023 22:48

Made friends with some random passengers on the train!

Daisy5151 · 11/10/2023 22:48

My 6 month old waking up from a 12 hr sleep this morning & smiling up at me when I came through to get her up 😊

Haven't had a full night's sleep in weeks so this was amazing lol, plus her little smile when she noticed me looking into her cot.

Set us both up for a good day 😊

XenoBitch · 11/10/2023 22:52

Seeing my old dog rag her toys and just having a good time.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 11/10/2023 22:52

I put on a skirt which used to be too small. All those hours in the gym are paying off!

Got some unprompted, and excellent feedback on some training I ran recentjy.
