Does anyone else feel sad when TV series finish?

I love watching really long boxsets but there are the odd few that I can't wait to watch and see what happens but equally I really miss watching them once they are finished.

I felt really sad when How I Met Your Mother finished, i binged that recently, Barney was probably one of my favourite ever tv characters, I have felt the same about quite a few others. I think it's mainly when I binge them though rather than watch them over a long period of time.

Has anyone else watched others they feel like that about?

I was disappointed the last series of Last Tango in Halifax was the last, apparently. It felt unfinished and I was waiting for a new series.

I was really sad watching the last ever friends.

Still makes me a bit emotional now 😢

I will be very sad in 6 weeks time when Ghosts finishes.😞

Yes, pretty sad after the last episodes of Suits and Breaking Bad.

I was bereft after each series of Succession, House of Cards (UK), Line of Duty, Shetland and Happy Valley. I've gone back and watched them all again!

I sobbed at the end of This is Us.
i dragged out Gilmore Girls a year in the life so it didnt end as fast.

I always get sad at the end of a good series. Agree with PP, This is Us was very sad.

I'm nearly at the end of the second series of Firefly Lane and I don't want it to end.

I’m really sad that I have only got 2 episodes left of the resident
to make it worse it was cancelled , so won’t properly end 😢

I was sad when Sons of Anarchy and Breaking Bad ended

Some of them, for sure. Especially ones that get cancelled too early. Some end at a point where things aren't fully resolved and you know the writers intended another series or more.

Yeah I get this for ones that have become my comfort-watch go to and I’m attached to the characters. Parks and Rec and the Office (US) come to mind.

Others I feel sad that I’ve been so invested in the story then the ending turned out piss poor. Yes Lost, Game of Thrones, I’m looking at you two.

Oh yes i put off watching the last schitts creek for ages too. Then started it again from episode one

Yeah I always get really sad after binging a show I've loved. It's happened countless times. I miss it cause I've had so much of it for however long and then it's just finished. Gone.

Ted Lasso this week 😢 I am lost without it

Ted Lasso for me. I wasn't bothered about it for ages and then decided to give it a try. Cried like a baby at the end!!

I'm also late to the party with Brassic and have watched the first 3 series in the last few weeks. I'm already sad knowing that there are only 2 more series (no idea if they're doing another as I'm not googling and risking spoilers!).

West Wing. Sobbed. Even worse as they had to do a chat for death due to the real actor dying.
