Does anyone else feel sad when TV series finish?

I love watching really long boxsets but there are the odd few that I can't wait to watch and see what happens but equally I really miss watching them once they are finished.

I felt really sad when How I Met Your Mother finished, i binged that recently, Barney was probably one of my favourite ever tv characters, I have felt the same about quite a few others. I think it's mainly when I binge them though rather than watch them over a long period of time.

Has anyone else watched others they feel like that about?

Definitely feel sad! Even more so when a series gets cancelled and doesn't get a ending because you see how much potential it could've had

I binge watch better call saul for a few seasons before i even started breaking bad. I loved it. I was dreading the change in Jimmy to go from that to Saul.

NOOOOOO! I didn't know it had been cancelled! We are watching the series after a main character (won't say, in case of spoiler) died. Is this the last one?!

I do the same with Superstore and Schitts Creek.

Oh yes. That was good. Especially watching the story unfold of what actually happened that she didnt know at the time.

@ErrolTheDragon I'll never forgive them for cancelling Firefly, I bloody love that show.

Carrie had to escape to Russia, apparently as a traitor, but after a while she started sending info to Saul.

He's fantastic, even though he was such a player I still fancied him, my DSs who are 17 and 15 said he's always all over tiktok, they think Barney's hilarious. I hope he isn't cancelled, most people are quite able to know how not to behave 😂 I loved his little appearance on How I Met Your Father. Neil Patrick Harris is amazing in Glee, he has an incredible voice.

Who had her daughter?
Stayed with her sister. I don't think she told anyone she was going, as it was (ostensibly) defection

I think because I felt like they had lost time together but he had a seemingly happy marriage with his wife so the fact they got together was bittersweet

The summer i felt pretty made me sad. I think I need to rewatch that.

GoT for sure!! Even though the last season was so shit. That last shot of each Stark at the end made me cry and then the last shot of John snow and the music!! I just wanted more…have rewatched a few times since and read the books! (Will the last one ever be out??!)

Yes it was a strange ending, I know its not real lol, but I always felt like Robin and Barney had more chemistry than Robin and Ted, but I guess it was a nice ending overall. I basically sobbed for the last 2 episodes.

There is an alternative ending to HIMYM. It is much better

For those watching the last few episodes of The Resident - considering it was cancelled, it’s not a bad ending at all.

Ashes to Ashes. I thought that it along with life on mars was absolutely great.

Hmm well I've just binged watched the last series of ghosts and the ending was a bit meh. Hopefully the Xmas special is a proper ending.
