I've got two Hello Fresh recipes and I don't fancy either of them. DS is having tea at his friend so it's just me and DH. Today is payday. What should we have?? What are you having??

I'm particularly proud of this one, even my mother might approve. Chicken casserole, which contains therein, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, courgette, and celery, as well as spinach. Along side that, roasted pumpkin, kumara, and parsnip. To go with that, mashed potatoes, beans, broccoli, asparagus, carrots and brussel sprouts.

Vegfest!!! Sounds yum.

Fried egg roll. Just cant be arsed

Judellie · 30/09/2023 19:44

Had some spaghetti carbonara my son made at college yesterday. Didn't think I liked carbonara but it was lovely - there was no sauce on it so I have concluded it's the (usually creamy) sauce I dislike.

YouAndMeAndThem · 30/09/2023 21:19

I've just had burrata, with mixed leaves, roasted balsamic piccolo tomatoes, lemon and EV olive oil dressing and ciabatta. It was incredible. First time I've tried burrata.

Ragwort · 30/09/2023 22:18

Judelle .. what was with the spaghetti carbonara if there was no sauce.. Confused ... was it just cooked spaghetti??

Judellie · 01/10/2023 14:44

Just spaghetti with bacon, mushrooms and onion added. Nice tho.
I'll take anything today - did Sunday dinner at my mum's so I'm fed but seem to have run around all weekend and now shattered. Flaked out on the sofa!

AdoraBell · 01/10/2023 15:27

No idea yet for dinner tonight. Lunch was rice cooked with tomatoes from the garden and carrots, added meatballs from the freezer.

Ostryga · 01/10/2023 16:29

Over at my friend’s and they’re cooking cote de boeuf of the bbq. Sea bass ceviche to start. Loads of champagne. Yum!

That is not carbonara 🤣

Despite it being really warm, today, I'm slow roasting a shoulder of lamb in the oven for DH's birthday with a nought in it. Need to prep some roasties in a bit. Will serve it with roasted rainbow carrots, cavolo nero, leeks and a mint saucy gravy.

Hedjwitch · 01/10/2023 17:14

Chicken and leeks cooked in cider in the slow cooker, and served with mash and roasted tenderstem broccoli. Plum and blackberry crumble with cream for afters

Needmorelego · 01/10/2023 18:09

@Judellie @YouAndMeAndThem my daughter likes to have Carbonara - the sauce, bacon, mushrooms etc but with no actual pasta or spaghetti 😂

AdoraBell · 02/10/2023 16:15

Salmon with a tomato sauce and either rice or potatoes from the garden.

APurpleSquirrel · 02/10/2023 18:35

I have jacket potato leftovers from last night, so have made a cottage pie (using burgers from the freezer as the mince)

Crepesandconans · 02/10/2023 18:48

Vegetable soup which has been doing in the slow cooker all day, with a few bits of bacon on top, crusty bread and lots of salty butter.

Crepesandconans · 02/10/2023 18:49

Oh and jam roly poly with proper thick custard for pudding.

Silkiebunny · 02/10/2023 19:03

Thai takeaway, lots of starters.

AlwaysPrettyOnTheInside · 03/10/2023 09:17

Not sure, I have taken chicken thighs out of the freezer, fancy something light and possibly with Asian flavours.

Ostryga · 03/10/2023 11:26

Its properly cold today, so I’m going to make a chicken and ham pie, steam some green veg and have it was mash and gravy.
