.....this year? It's one of my favourite shows but I'm not sure if I'm going to watch it.

Eugh That last line is just shit

Jimmy Carr has made far worse jokes about rape than that one even.

Brand was i the press in 2011 for holding up shooting of a show for 2 hours until a wardrobe assistant showed her breasts.

There are many many male comedy stars guilty of many many things. Brand being outted isnt new news, everyone on the scene knew. So if you are saying Fielding is guilty by association (and for making disgusting jokes about rape and sexual assault and predatory behaviour which is incredibly common) so is everyone in the industry. So are the women who kept quiet knowing that he was a sexual predator (NOT his victims i hasten to add, but those on the scene who knew what he was like), allowing him to continue his behaviour with the next woman and the next women.

Again @CherryMaDeara I said they are NOT MOCkING rape. Not that that joke is not about rape .

Please learn some basic comprehension skills before being so bloody rude

You clearly meant to be dishonest about what the joke is about.

At least own it.

Wow! Yes do you remember when Noel's cape was compared to Jack the Ripper's and he went Jack the Ripper was a serial killer and Jimmy goes ,,, are your trying to find the moral difference between a serial killers and a rapist ...,
You know ,,, because no one wanted to be called a rapist , a serial killer was preferable.

I'm not lying or back tracking, my post is visible for all to see below

Opinions are fine but if you try to misrepresent something caught on video then expect to be caught red handed.

@Childcarequestionn "
......op is. It's literally the point of the thread"

As the OP in question I can confirm that I am not calling for Fielding's cancellation. I am considering whether I,personally, want to watch the show any more, and was wondering whether anyone else feels the same. But don't let the truth get in the way of a good story!

It is most definitely a rape joke, by the way. And Fielding was most definitely an equal part in it.

@Childcarequestionn @CherryMaDeara will the two of you stop, its turning the thread into your personal tit for tat argument about reading comprehension.

just drop it. jfc.

Yawn. As I said, Rosa complains that the show have put the 'only sexually attractive woman near two cocksmen in the businss' (Noel and RB), and moves her so 'she can go home with her dress still on'.

Noel says 'we're not rapists'. RB says no link between cape and rape and if Noel hasn't done a rape then you've ruined his reputation. He then asks Noel 'have you done a rape?'

Do you deny it’s mocking rape?

misssunshine4040 · 20/09/2023 19:27

I think we need to post the video here so people can make their own minds up as @CherryMaDeara has very limited ability to comprehend.

I don't need to own anything and I'm not defending anyone either.

@Jellykat " how far are you going to go exactly OP?"

I'm going to go as far as someone who maintained a personal friendship with a known sex abuser and who made rape jokes on mainstream telly. How about you?

If he was such a well known sex abuser then hundreds or maybe thousands of people should have spoken up.

Or is 'known sex abuser' a bad case of 20/20 hindsight?

Did a lot of people complain about the rape joke at the time?

misssunshine4040 · 20/09/2023 19:31

@CherryMaDeara I've not been caught out thanks .
It's my interpretation of the joke. I don't find that it mocks rape.

They are quite clearly protesting the idea of being called a rapist by using humour which is the nature of the show.

They will literally try and argue the sky isn’t blue to minimise rape jokes.

As others have said, it's interesting the moral lines being taken with regard to age gaps. I personally still think the half your age plus 7 works Wink and have no idea what a 30+ and a sixteen year old have in common. It gives me the ick for various slebs, gay or straight, who've gone for a much younger partner/twink and as we saw with Schofield, led to much debate as to power dynamics regardless of consent.
Brand's accuser accuses him of grooming in hindsight, of oral rape/deep throating/choking without consent on one occasion and of sex without a condom on another. Others in the public eye with May-September romances have not made such allegations. Still wouldn't want my own children involved with such older partners but criminal it isn't, provided enthusiastic consent is there.

16yo girls are generally schoolgirls...

16 year olds can get married in Scotland, England and Wales upped the age limit not so long ago.
