Mine is a tiara - not necessarily an expensive one - costume jewellery really - but I would never have an occasion to wear one, and as I have a face like a homely potato, I’d look ridiculous in one. But I still get that little yearning, if I see one on FB or Etsy.

A big fat diamond ring. Never gonna happen, but a girl can dream.

I bought one, well not actually a diamond, but a lab grown one and cost me £65, and it's got 2x 2ct fake diamonds and it's platinum coated. I love it Grin

I gave in and bought one. A princely £5 from a wedding shop close down on the bay of E.

It is proper.

but my grannie was right - ye cannae polish shite

You’re inspiring me! I wonder if they hurt when actually on? I’d love one but in reality I even find cotton headbands give me a headache. It won’t stop me from buying one though!

Great thread OP. Not a thing as such but I would like to book into that Swiss hotel/clinic place that Monica and prat Giles (glad he’s been replaced by Rob now) visited on one of their hotel programs. I would stay for 6 months having every sort of treatment I desired and losing all my excess weight. They of course would also cater for my little dog as I would be such a VIP guest, I would then emerge transformed like a butterfly from my ugly chrysalis at the end of my stay.

We went to one of the hotels on that programme for our big birthdays this year. It was bliss.

In the meantime I'm with @SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius on the tiara. Here's the one I've had saved on my phone for about five years. Did I say I had a big birthday?!

My one feels heavy-ish will which I wasn’t expecting for the price.

It is pushable into hair but it felt a bit grippy.

Much comfier with actual grips pinning it on.

CwmYoy · 19/09/2023 17:44

A rocking horse for adults. With a combable mane and tail.

BinkyBeaufort · 19/09/2023 17:44

Thirty years off my face and body.
And a perfect white wedding dress. I never had one, but if I had the 30 years off I'd buy one and wear it every day. Though just in the house.

I’d like a veranda. I can’t have one for several reasons but I really want one.

This is mine too. Always wanted one. A big balcony too leading off the master bedroom.

80skid · 19/09/2023 17:44

I used to go past an antique shop with a brass horseman on a rearing horse either side of the door and always thought it they would look beautifully ridiculous outside my bungalow. I'll settle for a gargoyle or two though. I'd love some gargoyles

Spareincoming · 19/09/2023 17:46

A solo canoe.
I can canoe well and we have a large one for me and the DC but I want one for me and me only. Not that I’d ever get a chance to use it solo because when I’m off, so are
the DC.
Maybe it’s my retirement plan.

IcakethereforeIam · 19/09/2023 17:47

@Theroom please buy your hat. Even if you never wear it perhaps you could use it as an item of decor? Hang it on a wall or on a carved wooden hat standy thing.

Regarding my tank, I might see if I could drive one on one of those Red Letter Day type things for my next big birthday. Perhaps that geezer in Chiswick.....

@ArcaneWireless 😍

exLtEveDallas · 19/09/2023 17:50

I have a tiara @SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius - I used to wear it to Glastonbury (with my combat trousers and a glittery bra). I then reused it for my wedding. Haven't been to Glastonbury for about 15 years now, and it's been in a box ever since - maybe I should dust it off.

I want a stoop/veranda / whatever they are called, that wraps around the house and has rocking chairs and a swing (I live in a semi, but a girl can dream).

One utterly unnecessary thing you really want.
Maireas · 19/09/2023 17:50

Oooh, @ArcaneWireless - that is Fab. U. Lous!

@CharlotteStreetW1

Yours looks a lot more expensive than a fiver …

Stunning. 😍

holachicatita · 19/09/2023 17:51

Another baby 😂

I want a grandchild! Doesn't look likely for a while....

Labbingtons · 19/09/2023 17:54

A harpsichord.

We had one at school which tinkered on when I was an okay pianist. I can barely play the piano but I’d quite like to learn the pieces I played again.

Sadly, all my money goes on the betterment of my kids and Labradors.

Talkwhilstyouwalk · 19/09/2023 17:54

An air fryer

ArcaneWireless · 19/09/2023 17:56

Maireas is right - lovely tiara talk is to be had on that thread. 😘

They have pretty feet (my want on this thread) in lovely shoes too 😡

And don’t care that I have pointed out that my stocky wallopers of lower limbs look like rolled briskets in espadrille laces. 🫣

Whydoiwearsomuchleopardprint · 19/09/2023 17:57

A Louis Vuitton neverfull tote bag in ballerina pink, I usually hate this kind of thing but I love it! The price is beyond insane though!!

Maireas · 19/09/2023 17:57

Well, yours may be like briskets, @ArcaneWireless - but you know that my feet are like Nosferatu's.
I would love pretty feet. Not ridiculous bony appendages which seemingly have no fat on them whatsoever.

Errolwasahero · 19/09/2023 17:58

Ah, not quite @SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius ! I have a ickle one who is called Errol, coz he’s cute. This one would be his missus - huge and scary ready to flame anyone taking the piss! Good spot tho! GNU.

IcakethereforeIam · 19/09/2023 17:58

I saw a brooch that V&A had for sale it was in the shape of a badger with, iirc, a massive opal. It was expensive, for me, but I could have afforded it. But it was so frivolous and, really, a brooch!? Who wears them? I still regret talking myself out of it. And loads of people wear brooches!

dontforgettithespaghetti · 19/09/2023 17:58

My own zip line. There's a little one at the park but it's always covered in kids. I would love one just for me that I could enjoy to my hearts content
