Mine is a tiara - not necessarily an expensive one - costume jewellery really - but I would never have an occasion to wear one, and as I have a face like a homely potato, I’d look ridiculous in one. But I still get that little yearning, if I see one on FB or Etsy.

A room with a proper floor for dancing where I could practice ballet and tap every day in an endeavour to be not the worst one in the class (which I am at the moment).

A porch and a private parking space. We live in a flat fronted Victorian cottage on a main road with just enough front garden for the bins so neither is achievable sadly.

Bbq1 · 29/02/2024 09:09

A house with a gallery

Also a utility room. Want the utility room more.

MotherofGorgons · 29/02/2024 09:11

I want the capybara too! Or ten cats. Or a baby elephant.

Bookist · 29/02/2024 09:46

I want a custom built hobbit hole at the bottom of our garden. Complete with real fires, feather beds and delicious food in the pantry.

SecretBanta · 29/02/2024 10:37

A traditional vardo

madeinmanc · 29/02/2024 11:26

As we seem to have expanded the budget for this thread, I'll add that I love those traditional bikes you see that come in all different colours. If I could I'd have three or four in various colours to match to my outfits! I'd probably get red, blue, racing green and also a neutral coloured one just in case. Oh, and a garage to store them in 😬

hollyblueivy · 29/02/2024 11:38

@IcakethereforeIam

Yes. That's what it's called!

madeinmanc · 29/02/2024 11:52

@NeedWineNow Could you not achieve this with a garden room?

Mermaidinmymind · 29/02/2024 11:53

An iPhone 13 mini. There's no reason for me to swap phones, yet I'm googling it incessantly.

IcakethereforeIam · 29/02/2024 11:58

A national collection of regal pelargonium, and the land, greenhouse, time and skill to look after them.

....and violas.

That should be "globe" not " glove"
Stupid autocorrect!

I realise that but I still prefer the image of a glove that opens, revealing a treasure trove of alcohol.

I'd like to have a tiger, but dh says No. He's afraid it will eat us, or the dogs, or the neighbours, but I am sure that, if I raise it from a cub, it will be a complete pussy cat, and I refuse to be convinced otherwise.

@madeinmanc Lack of garden size and lack of funds means not sadly, but I can dream!

Of course it would! 🐾

It's a wolf I'd like.
I managed to train a golden retriever, so I'm sure a wolf'd be fine.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 29/02/2024 13:42

Your wolf and my tiger could be friends, @AliceAforethought.

Sounds adorable @SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius
There'd be lots of purring, frolicking and happy tail wagging I'm sure.

@SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius Please keep your tiger on a leash, though, I don't want it nipping at my legs when I cycle past on one of my brightly coloured bikes! 😮

Maybe just commandeer one of the rooms of your house, let's face it, men are always doing stuff like that 😀

Maybe your other half can go on the male equivalent of Mumsnet and moan about you commandeering a whole room, while being careful not to mention your "outing" hobby.

Bearcubbaby · 29/02/2024 14:17

Also a house with a galleried landing
A new car
A walk-in wardrobe complete with a hell of a lot of very good quality clothes, shoes & bags
An on suite
A Juliet balcony in my bedroom
A designer handbag, but not one that could ever be mistaken for a knock off/the types that have flooded the imitation market e.g. Christian Dior tote bag
Botox/fillers

@madeinmanc I have thought about that 😂

One of those Skylight digital photo frames that connect to the wifi so you can email photos to it and they come up straightaway.
