One utterly unnecessary thing you really want.

Mine is a tiara - not necessarily an expensive one - costume jewellery really - but I would never have an occasion to wear one, and as I have a face like a homely potato, I’d look ridiculous in one. But I still get that little yearning, if I see one on FB or Etsy.

I want reading glasses onna stick, très fancy silver ones. I think they're called lorgnettes(?). Don't know why.

a sari because I have never worn one and a ferret because they look cute and sleep in hammocks

I have a couple, just go buy one, the people in the shop will show you how to tie one.
You can get really cheap basic artificial fibre sars for £10.

I would say I wanted a randoseru, but a friend came back from Japan with one for me 2 days ago.

winewolfhowls · 01/10/2023 07:17

A hammock, although in reality I probably would fall out and or spill my brew .

winewolfhowls · 01/10/2023 07:18

No ferret in it though! Might stretch to a beaver.

hollyblueivy · 01/10/2023 08:19

A home gym with pool, steam room and hot tub.

JustKen · 01/10/2023 08:27

A "Giant" electric bike. They are so expensive, the price of a used car, but top quality and very good to ride. I will never buy one. But want one.

Thisbastardcomputer · 01/10/2023 09:00

A gold Cartier tank watch.

Oh I'd love one too.

A swimming pool. But wouldn't want to leave existing house which would mean our entire back garden was water 🙂

Oooh, that sounds good. I might actually work out at home if we had enough space for it. Or it might turn into a dumping ground. Could go either way.

Yettisrus29 · 01/10/2023 12:32

A house with my own garden, a dining room, at least 3 bedrooms, an office and space for me to have a booze cupboard😂 oh and a proper pantry. Completely unnecessary as it's only me and two cats.

I know someone with a sauna full of boxes. 🤣

pleasefuckinggodno · 01/10/2023 13:37

I’d like staff.

That actually sounds really cool, but also like you could have pigeon bathing issue down the line.

holachicatita · 09/10/2023 21:19

Birkenstock clogs. Can't stop thinking about them

somethinghastochangesoon · 09/10/2023 21:21

A secret room that opens behind a bookcase. Inside is a library with a ladder for the higher shelves.

And just comfortable sofas etc

JaneFarrier · 09/10/2023 21:35

@pleasefuckinggodno I was just fantasising about having a sauna this morning (I was chilly...)... maybe it isn't such a good idea!

JaneFarrier · 09/10/2023 21:36

@holachicatita Birkenstock clogs don't sound like an unreasonable thing to want at all! (Says the person with about five pairs of Birkenstocks, but no clogs...)

hollyblueivy · 10/10/2023 06:45

An in house beauty trained person. Massage before bed, nails always manicured at my convenience, facial when needed. Cheeky little foot rub when watching TV.

But are they necessary? I also have so many pairs of Birkenstocks that I mourn them come winter, so the clogs are looking like an amazing alternative. Ok maybe they are necessary, I've talked myself into them, off to buy now 😂

JaneFarrier · 10/10/2023 14:06

@holachicatita I say go for it! Comfy feet are very important to general wellbeing, don't-y'-know...

Oh yes, me too. The ultimate luxury. A housekeeper in particular.

UsefulSmartPrettyHappy · 15/10/2023 22:55

Dh would like a telescope

Ds would like a PlayStation

I would like a new telly

WheekWheekWheek · 15/10/2023 22:57

A bidet!

WheekWheekWheek · 15/10/2023 23:01

I would love at least three or four pet Capybaras and a big pool for them to wallow in. Like those heated thermal spring pools they have for them in Japanese zoos. I would take them for walls on a harness and house train them. People would tell me they like my dog and what breed is it ? I would just grin to myself. I expect my guinea pigs would enjoy having their big "cousins" around!
