used to work 40. I earn approx 5K more for working 10 hours less a week with a different employer.

MatthewsMumFromTikTok · 18/09/2023 21:55

But often another 20-30 on top as overtime

MatthewsMumFromTikTok · 18/09/2023 21:55

youwouldthink · 18/09/2023 21:55

shivawn · 18/09/2023 21:58

I work 13 hour shifts, 10 shifts a month. 2 days one week, 3 days the next week.

SirChenjins · 18/09/2023 21:58

Officially 37.5 but it’s usually more. I worked p/t for many years when the DC were younger so I’m now working f/t to increase my pension.

Why are you asking?

VanillaFlotilla · 18/09/2023 21:59

On paper: 40. But in reality probably about half that. I wfh and get my work done quickly and don't have to waste time commuting or doing face time. But I've always been employed on a full time basis since I started working.

YouBoggleMyMind · 18/09/2023 21:59

20 hours a week

Imamumgetmeoutofhere · 18/09/2023 22:00

In my paid job Between 25 - 30 hours a week depending on if I do 2 long days and a half day or 3 long days.

Motherhood, wife and general dogs body....countless

Savagecabbage101 · 18/09/2023 22:01

@Effervescent999 80! That’s horrendous.I was a P\T teacher doing 50 hrs and I quit last year…
I worked out I was earning less than the minimum wage, even with the so called holidays…

WetBandits · 18/09/2023 22:01

40 contracted hours. Every other week I’ll do another 24-30 hours overtime, and that increases to weekly in the lead-up to Christmas.

However, I really love my job. I worked six 12-hour night shifts every week throughout Covid and it almost killed me because I hated my job so much!

skinnytobe · 18/09/2023 22:01

Contracted to 30.

Guilt means I do more. It plays on my heart watching my friends/colleagues struggling. The reality is. Often I go in and just join the struggle because even with me, the lead nurse for the hospital and a nurse from another ward taking patients, we still be 5/6 more.

ThreeRingCircus · 18/09/2023 22:01

22 hours per week. I like to be around for primary school aged DDs to collect from school a couple of days a week. Planning on going back to full time once they're at secondary school.

Philandbill · 18/09/2023 22:01

55-60.

Ted27 · 18/09/2023 22:02

I 'retired' from my 30 hour a week civil service job in May
I'm now a full time foster carer so am never off duty
