Just this. How many hours a week do you work?

Paid hours = 22.5 a week. The nature of my job mean I can pretty much pick and choose my hours though. I often do my hours over 2-3 days, and sometimes start 6pm and work til 11pm or midnight or even 1pm. Then I will do 2pm til 11pm another day. Then 8am to midday, or 2pm another day. Also do weekend days occasionally. That's what I love about it. I can totally pick my hours. (Work from home.)

I have been part time since my first child - nearly 30 years ago... DH works 27 hours over 3 days. He went part time about 5 years ago. We both earn decent wages, and have such low outgoings (mortgage-free,) that we are OK financially. Small home, low bills, mortgage free, no responsibilities or anyone to care for (both sets of parents passed, and kids left home a decade ago,) and part time jobs we enjoy. Feel quite blessed every day. 😘

Do teachers seriously work 10+ hours a day 7 days a week without ever having a day off? Or equivalent of 8am-midnight every weekday?

I know they're busy but I'm sorry I just don't buy that.

Paid for 30 but work more like 40 (or 50 in busy periods).

Have just resigned though for a 21 hour per week job, hoping it works out!!

38. But I bank 2.5 hours a week towards annual leave.

16 but there is always overtime available as we are short staffed.

Not the ones I know either. I have a lot of friends who are teachers, some work part time, some full time, a mix of primary and secondary. None of them do this many hours.

About 38 hours a week. Term time only. Not a teacher. Work in private sector. Very full on as soon as I get in, I make a habit of leaving on time otherwise I’d get caught out on times.
Bloody tiring as so much always going on during the week.

I do 32 hours, 4 days a week. I do a bit more if needed.

pd 25hrs, actually work 35-40. My choice though. Lots of colleagues manage in contracted hours. I'm happier doing more.

About 70 hours a week but heavily commission focused role so it’s my focus on ££ that keeps me on it.

other people seem to do it about in 30

My 80+ day week is working on the fact that I get perhaps 1 day off in 11.... if I'm in a position to take one.

You hit your targets and keep your job or you have your days off and end up on an improvement plan'.

It's a tough gig.

37.5. Not easy as a single mum of a DS9 with absolutely no help whatsoever!

12 hours as 3 x 4hrs, any more than that and I collapse; even with just 12 it can wipe me out for the rest of week (various medical / disabilities blah limits me). Was hard to find place that would allow so little over so many days, many were saying part time but then expected min of 30 hrs
