Mine are Turn To Stone, Oh Well (part one) and Over You.

Not easy to pick just one, given their respective considerable back catalogues.

That’s a tough one.

Mr Blue Sky
Landslide
Dance Away

It changes with the tide though.

xsquared · 15/09/2023 21:26

Hard to pick just one of each.

Mr Blue Sky is very cliche but still my favourite.

Sara, Edge of Seventeen, You make loving fun, Big Love - Lyndsay Buckingham and his stare! 💓

Not a huge Roxy Music fan, but I think I prefer their later stuff. Same old scene, Slave to Love, Avalon etc. Speaking of Roxy Music, I used to think Ice House's "Hey Little Girl" was their song until a couple of years ago!

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 15/09/2023 21:27

Same as @SirChenjins

Kaftankween · 15/09/2023 21:28

Ticket to the moon
the chain
over you

DarkDarkNight · 15/09/2023 21:29

I only like Fleetwood Max, don’t have a favourite of the others. Landslide is my favourite Fleetwood Max song.

LunaNorth · 15/09/2023 21:29

Mr Blue Sky
Silver Springs
Pyjamarama

ArcaneWireless · 15/09/2023 21:29

Tricky. Today I will go for

Hold On Tight
The Chain
Sign of the times

TheTecknician · 15/09/2023 21:30

The Icehouse singer - Ivor Somebody - does rather Ferryish vocals on that song. David Sylvian used to do likewise in Japan.

Mr bluesky
Dreams

CatChant · 15/09/2023 21:30

Don’t Bring Me Down
The Chain
Same Old Scene

MuchuseasaChocolateTeapot · 15/09/2023 21:31

Don’t bring me down
Songbird
jealous Guy (or was that BF?)

ArcaneWireless · 15/09/2023 21:31

Bloody love Ice house’s ‘Hey little girl’ - the 12” is magnificent.

SilentHedges · 15/09/2023 21:33

I'm a huge Roxy Fan, like Fleetwood Mac enough to see them live and recognise Rumours is one the greatest albums, and I know very little about ELO.

Mr Blue Sky
Gold Dust Woman
Editions of You / Out of the Blue / Remake - Remodel ... (I could go on!)

TheYearOfSmallThings · 15/09/2023 21:33

ELO - none to be honest
FM - Gypsy
RM - Oh Yeah

I love FM and RM, I could pick loads of theirs.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 15/09/2023 21:33

Oooh so difficult,
Telephone Line
Man of the World
More Than This

KohlaParasaurus · 15/09/2023 21:33

ELO: Wild West Hero
Fleetwood Mac: You and I
Roxy Music: Dance Away

But if you ask me tomorrow I might give completely different answers.

Azaeleasinbloom · 15/09/2023 21:33

Was never an ELO fan in their day, but Livin Thing has some good memories
GoldDust Woman by Fleetwood Mac is just so evocative
Roxy Music Slave to Love

YouLando · 15/09/2023 21:34

All Over the World
Go Your Own Way
Dance Away

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 15/09/2023 21:35

Can't really pick. Love so many songs of all three.

Can I just mention 10cc, if we're looking at top notch 1970s chart-toppers? I absolutely adore I'm Not in Love.

Bernadinetta · 15/09/2023 21:35

Fleetwood Mac- Second Hand News

Roxy Music- If There is Something

Don’t really know any ELO other than Mr Blue Sky.

HollyandJingles · 15/09/2023 21:38

Don’t bring me down

Go your own way

More than this

TheTecknician · 15/09/2023 21:38

ELO is one of those bands with their own trademark sound throughout their career. The two incarnations of Fleetwood Mac, i.e. Peter Green and Buckingham Nicks McVie might as well have been two different bands. Roxy Music changed their style with subtlety between Virginia Plain and Avalon.

Handcreamqueen · 15/09/2023 21:38

I only like Fleetwood Mac out of those, in fact I love FM. My favourite is You and I, part 2. This isn’t their most popular track but it triggers some kind of warm locked memory in me for some reason.

HelenFisksBrownSuit · 15/09/2023 21:41

I don't like ELO.

But as for the other two, it has to be

Love is the Drug and Go Your Own Way.

Second place goes to Silver Springs and Oh Yeah.

nebulae · 15/09/2023 21:42

Landslide
Silver Springs
Sara
Rhiannon
