Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas divorce narrative

Just watching this unfold over the last few days starting with they were filing for divorce which happens to a lot of people, but noticed the narrative is moving towards how Joe has been looking after their children all summer, he tried to save the marriage and it's down to her partying and painting things quite negatively for Sophie Turner.

Obviously I have no idea what's going on with either side but does look like she's being portrayed as the villain here and him the good guy , I know this is probably a lot to do press spin on things. She's been working away in UK and it would be quite normal for him to 'parent' their children while she's away ( (and hardly qualifies for father of the year, just their father.)

The Mail seems to have done an about turn the other way, after paying some waiter to slag her off for going to her own wrap party.

Jonas has more or less been on touŕ, drunk, rumours of cheating for their whole lives together. She hasnt worked since having her children. This is her first job and he's having a hissy fit because he has to look after his own children for a few weeks ( with the nanny and his mother)

plus, they’re both on record repeatedly saying she’s a homebody and he isn’t. The narrative he’s tried to create doesn’t even make sense. He’s just gone for the - look she’s not with her children, what a bad woman angle.

The worst bit is that they’ve very much kept the
children out of the limelight, no photos of their faces etc. and the day after he filed the divorce papers he calls backgrid to take pap shots if him and the nanny taking them out.

Why can't a mother "party" anyway?

I certainly didn't turn into a recluse when my kids were born, I wasn't aware it was a requirement.

If he really wanted to spin the narrative properly the family would have had Priyanka and Danielle post supportive wife stuff.

Priyanka usually posts every 5 mins but didn't (until very recently) for days. She won't let anything ruin her brand though and she doesn't need the family, she's successful in her own right. By all accounts her and Sophie got on quite well, so I wonder if she just refused to partake in this charade.

The Jonas family is Danielle's brand, so the fact that there were no contrived posts from her either is telling.

The trad wife thing is interesting though, as Nick doesn't seem to be like that at all.

I always thought the whole wife guys thing was weird, how they drag their wives along to everything. The women’s job is to clap while they perform or get a star, and look in awe. Meanwhile the women have worked much less since marriage and when they do they don’t have their husbands following them around clapping. I don’t know about Danielle, but the other 2 were successful in their own right and now they’ve been reduced to groupies. I wonder if that’s what either of them expected.

One of the jonas brothers, think it was Joe went trainspotting with Francis Boirgeois in rural Devon and they made an odd tiktok. Seemed an unlikely pairing.

I agree, which is why I don't buy this narrative that ST enjoys boozing and partying as there has been zero evidence of this whilst she was with Joe and only when they have seemingly separated had she been pictured at a wrap party enjoying a few drinks....probably celebrating getting that controlling prat out of her life.

I'm really pleased to see him back tracking, and getting grief for his vile mid slinging of her.

Joe Jonas saw/heard something with Sophie Turner that was the last straw in his decision to file for divorce, and it involves a ring camera.Multiple sources who have direct contact with Joe tell TMZ ... Joe had access to a ring cam that he said captured Sophie saying and/or doing something that made him realize the marriage was over.

Agree. I think he thought he'd get a different reaction from the ' poor Joe looking after his own kids' narrative. He went too far pretending to be a homeboy while she's a ' party animal' when she's been photographed at one party!

It seems like there's big emphasis on wives being there for their shows and perhaps when she'd just given birth not long before and he was putting pressure on her to attend events, when she wasn't he was watching her every move. Sounds like he stifled her and expected her to dance like his puppet, although, there are lots and lots of rumours about him cheating.

He's come out an said (another TMZ article) that his fans shouldn't believe anything that is said about the divorce unless it came out of his mouth. It did make me chuckle because his team clearly released all these articles. I think it's come to that and him getting hugs from his brothers on stage because they're not able to shift last tickets at the moment, I remember reading someone said they were selling remaining tickets for $12 in the end.

I've noticed Priyanka has made a big effort to show herself at their shows and post pictures to show what a family they are. I didn't think much of her before (see: being a UN ambassador who supports leaders who carry out airstrikes without much thought, suggesting feminism is an issue and wives should be supportive and at home, whilst in the next breath labelling herself a feminist. Allegedly sleeping with a few prominent married men in Bollywood - enough to get her ousted) but I think she's pushing the whole Jonas family narrative which shades Sophie. There's a lot of articles along the lines of "Priyanka steps out in the wake of Jonas divorce". Seems like she's trying to capitalize on it.

My perspective then based of that presumption was yes if you want to party then party, but then why have kids if you just want to party.

Can't she do both though? Admittedly every Saturday night and she's gonna be knackered pretty quickly but the two activities aren't mutually exclusive especially for a young woman

The mail are reporting that apparently Sophie had no idea he was divorcing her until she read it in the media. What a cold thing to do to someone.
