I don't know how many of you have come across this song already on social media but I wanted to share it because I feel like it's touched my soul in a way not many other songs have...

It's called Hi Ren...

Really interested in what people think about it...I'm not very emotional but it nearly brings me to tears every time I watch / listen to it

Any songs that do the same for you?

Wires by Athlete. Bring back all the feelings and fears I had when my eldest was born 9 weeks early and spent 8 weeks in SCBU

I Get Along Without You Very Well - especially the Chet Baker version.
I love First Cut Is The Deepest too, but has to be the original Cat Stevens for me.

Johnny Cash singing Wayfaring Stranger gets me every time.

Some good ones here - Tears in Heaven is devastating.
Jesus to a Child by George Michael

Not quite on the same level of loss as those two but about relationship breakups - All Too Well (TMV) really gets me as well as The 1

Lady gaga I will never love again beautiful emotional song anyway but played at my brother in law’s funeral who we lost suddenly earlier in the year the church was packed ex military and then trucker don’t think there was a dry eye in there

I know it sounds wanky, but Fauré's Requiem.

Got roped into a choir just after a traumatic bereavement and the times we were singing were exquisitely painful but utterly beautiful and healing with the melodies, harmonies and the accompaniment.

Other than that, Magnum Mysterium by Louis de Vittoria. Amazing sounds.

I'm a rock, metal, punk and anything loud person. But this stuff is fantastic.

Angel ('in the arms of the angels') by Sara McLachlan
Heartbreakingly beautiful and profound. And even more so if you read the story in one of the 'Moth' collections about how this song saved the life of Darryl McDaniels from Run DMC.

Wild West Hero - ELO

I saw them live years ago and I just stood there and sobbed.

The Air That I Breathe - The Hollies

After The Gold Rush - Neil Young

Matthew and Sons - Cat Stevens

This is my first musical memory. The first song I actually remember hearing. When I hear it I see the house I was born in, the decor, the layout and the furniture. We moved when I was 18 months old....

You Have Been Loved - George Michael
Strange Currencies - REM

Not so much the songs as the associations I personally have

There Is A Light That Never Goes Out by The Smiths. I could really relate to that song when I was a teenager. It still stops me in my tracks now when I hear it.

January rain by David Grey. From the serendipity soundtrack where they are on the ice rink and it starts to snow. Just love it. ❤️

Guy Sebastian's song Choir always makes me tear up when I stop to think what it's really about. Such a beautiful upbeat song with such a sad undertone.

My Immortal - Evanescence

I haven't been 'able' to listen to this since 2003 when my lovely Mum died: it was always, always, on the car radio as I drove to the hospital to see her pretty much daily over 3 months from August to October ... she died on 13th October with dementia and as I held her hand everyday- the words and tune were in my heart. Today, even hearing the first few seconds of it, I have to turn it off or I would be a complete wreck. Fantastic song but for me, a trigger and too sad..

Read the lyrics but couldn't listen to it all I just found the artist/song a bit annoying.

Seems similar (although different genre) to Tom MacDonalds song Best Rapper Ever I'd recommend watching the video for it because his videos are always amazing (imo) d

This one. I listened to it a lot when I was pregnant with my son and highly emotional. It still brings back the overpowering feeling of mother's love coming into my life.
