I don't know how many of you have come across this song already on social media but I wanted to share it because I feel like it's touched my soul in a way not many other songs have...

It's called Hi Ren...

Really interested in what people think about it...I'm not very emotional but it nearly brings me to tears every time I watch / listen to it

Any songs that do the same for you?

Sorry op I had to turn off the song you linked to... what a load of shite!!!

Anyway to answer your question..,

"The night we met" just haunts me! The lyric "I had all of you, most of you, some and now none of you..." literally breaks my heart.

Also "last first kiss" by Ron Pope makes me believe in love again! It's beautiful!

Mammyloveswine · 24/09/2023 14:31

Oh and "how do I say goodbye"..,

The lyric "how do I say goodbye, to someone who's been with me for my whole damned life". Heard it after my mam died and it just winded me.

Into the West , Annie Lennox.

Lyle Lovett - If I Had A Boat. Don't even know why but it makes me all emotional

BethDuttonsTwin · 24/09/2023 15:12

Anchored Down In Anchorage - Michelle Shocked. Completely beautiful song about female friendship and life choices. I choke up every time I hear it.

Stay Another Day by E17... Was No 1 when I gave birth to ds1. He lived for two hours. I wished he could have stayed another day.
To Where You Are by Josh Groban.
I Find Your Love by Beth Nielsen Chapman...

Leggy blonde

"I honestly love you" by Olivia Newton John. Gets me every time, especially watching videos of her singing it because she sings in such an emotional/heart felt manner that's almost talking directly to your soul through her eyes.

Ykn · 24/09/2023 17:24

Break Your Heart - Natalie Merchant

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 24/09/2023 17:29

Joni Mitchell's Both Sides Now touches my soul, I just have to think about it.

AgnesX · 24/09/2023 17:30

Days Go By - Dirty Vegas. Can't listen to it any more.

AbbeyGailsParty · 24/09/2023 17:31

Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifa See you Again. Written to honour Paul Walker ( Fast and Furious) after he died in car crash.

Cannot listen to Eric Clapton Tears in Heaven, even after all these years the news of his son….. too awful.

Oh god I'm so sorry. Christmas must be hard, that bloody song is so overplayed.

Justcashnosweets · 24/09/2023 17:46

All The Love in the World - Dionne Warwick
Let the Light In - Lana Del Ray
Stranger - Goldfrapp
The Kick Inside - Kate Bush.

'The town I loved so well' , by Phil Coulter or better still the Dubliners version. It describes growing up in poverty in Derry, leaving due to unemployment and returning at the height of the troubles. I heard it the other day and I wanted to sob. The music is as emotive as the lyrics. I dare you not to get a lump in your throat. And I've never even been to Derry!!

BrieAndChilli · 24/09/2023 17:48

Loads of the songs already mentions but also

jar of hearts - Christina Perri
night changes - one direction (not sure if that’s what it’s called)
waterfalls - TLC
china in your hands - T’pau
sign of the times - Harry styles
lullaby - clean bandit
symphony - clean bandit - but more because of the video I think

Any of the long Pink Floyd guitar solos feel like my brain is being stroked.

DarkSpark · 24/09/2023 17:59

I can't listen to In Dreams by Roy Orbison since it was played at my grandads funeral.
He's been gone 7 years and I have literally never been able to hear it since.

Also This is how it feels by Inspiral Carpets, this part in particular really touched me when I was struggling with PND when my oldest was a baby.

Husband don't know what he's done
Kids don't know what's wrong with mum
She can't say, they can't see
Putting it down to another bad day
Daddy don't know what he's done
Kids don't know what's wrong with mum
So this is how it feels to be lonely
This is how it feels to be small
This is how it feels when your word means nothing at all
