How much did you spend on your summer holiday? (And where did you go)

Just because I'm curious. We had a week in Europe but stayed with family so no accommodatione whole week came to around just under £1000, including eurotunnel, petrol, theme park tickets, meals out and me stocking up a car boot full of foreign sweets, beauty products, etc.

And then i took the dc camping for 3 nights in the uk which somehow burnt through money - £39 per night just to pitch a tent, plus food, etc. It just felt like a really expensive way to spend 3 days shivering in the rain and not getting any sleep.

Nope, all my cruises have been alone.

Norway = £2,000
Canary Islands = £2,100. This one I got cheaper £1,300.

I spent £2300 for 10 nights b&b in Menorca for me and DD then another £900 on food, drinks, boat trip. Had budgeted £100 per day so some days took picnics to the beach which was fab.
Weather was fantastic, loved the place.

We've just don't a cruise which was 18k for dh and I and we're about to go away again.. just a week on a friend's boat which will just cost us a (nice) present to them and tipping the crew.

We are going to the canaries for 11 nights 4* all inclusive. Taking the kids out of school in May and paying £2800. We are also going to France for a week in August for around £3000 that’s self catering.
a yearly holiday for me is non negotiable and I’ll happily give up expensive clothes, nights out and other niceties to have nice holidays.

We are going to Hydra (Greek island) with 2 nights in Athens at beginning - 10 days - mid to late July - 2 of us - beautiful boutique hotels- will be £2900 for hotels and flights plus spending money - all booked separately - been a fair few times before

This year we're doing a 7 night cruise to France and Spain. Total cost will probably be approx £4k for two adults and two primary aged children. Cruise is £3k and includes accommodation, food, kids club etc so technically we wouldn't need to spend any more but we're budgeting an extra £1k for spending onshore and for drinks, excursions etc.

This is for school summer holidays.

We take our family away in the summer to our favourite hotel in the Dominican Republic. DH, me, DS1 and his DP, DS2 plus three grandchildren aged 7, 18 and 20. Just under £23,000. It’s a lot of money but worth it.
They are all great company for us and to each other. We are retired. DH and I enjoy other holidays on our own plus the family ski trip.
This is a bit of a Zombie thread but I noticed it because we are in the throes of sorting out next year’s skiing.,

Around 40k as we took my parents to Miami, South American cruise and then LA where we flew out our kids and their partners. More than we wanted to spend for sure.
