Weirdest name your kid has given a teddy

DS (5) has always been completely unimaginative when it comes to naming teddies. Lots of Huggy Bears and Monkey/Rabbit etc... He decided to rename two tonight, and we now have Screwdriver and Walmart. No idea where those names have come from!

"Pirate Doggy" named when he was about 18 months. Naturally "Pirate Doggy" has a patch of black round his eye. He's fairly imaginative with his names, although we did have a phase where any new ones were called "Poppy" after his best friend. Now he's older his imagination goes on his budgie names. I think the best two were "Yin" and "Yang", which were from the first brood of budgies his original ones hatched. Yin and Yang were black (or dark blue) and white and almost identical apart from one had a blue streak in their tail.

When I was little I had "Floppy Bunny". Floppy Bunny was made by dm and was um... floppy. She's currently watching me on the computer.

When I was 3 I named my teddy Mark. Guess what my partner is called....

My 2 year old has a stuffed rabbit named Bean Soup.

Not a teddy but my son called his big 5 helium balloon poo poo.

We have a hedgehog here called Brizley, and 2 bears called Tom Bear and Tom Bear's Mum

We had a wee kind of alien thing called Man, but most of our toys have been teddy, bunny etc. The earliest was momo, because he couldn't say monkey.

A springy leg frog named Frog-It. I'm not sure if the name comes from Ribbit or simply the fact its a frog. All attempts to change the name to something that sounds less like Fuck It, when screamed in public, have been unsuccessful.

Not so much teddy bears (Big Teddy, Little Teddy etc) but the Playmobil people. Norman the Foreman, Bossy Ross, Harry, Barry and Garry etc...

We had a real cat that my son named Turnip

We have lots of teddies named Rosie. For a good long while, every teddy that came through the door was dutifully named Rosie. We had a doll called Daddy Dolly. For the life of me I can't figure out why, doesn't even look like him 😂

My daughter had a doll wearing a pink dress she named 'big baby Oliver'. It wasn't even a big doll.
Youngest son had a soft toy otter called Panny.

We also had several teddies who were from RNLI shops. So naturally they were named after classes of lifeboat (e.g. Teddy Mersey, Teddy Tamar etc)...

My ds used to have a pink dolly and a pink pushchair

The dolly was called baby richard-grandad once tried to shorten it to 'baby dick' (I'm sure he thought it was funny)

He had a friend who wasn't as loved called 'baby clive' but I don't know what happened to him

My dd had barney the dog-he got lost in a house move

My ex had 'bear lamb' as a child-a tatty,grey,grotty lump his mum said was a sheep at some point

My dp has 'ted' which is original-he lives in our spare room

I used to have 'knocker' the pink and white teddy who was my bestest friend in the whole world as a child

I was inventive with names as a child. I had a cuddly fish called swimtoswim... and a cuddly bird called flaptoflap 🫤
