Did you go to said theme park to enjoy yourself or to judge others who would probably be judging you.

Maaaaaaaaaate.

sandgrown · 12/08/2023 00:46

Any excuse to slate Blackpool. The majority of visitors to BPB are not actually from Blackpool.

You seriously think in the thousands of people at a theme park today, that you stand out so much you will out yourself by saying where you were?? How bizarre.

Unless you were wearing your judgey pants so high that you were walking with your knickers hitched around your head like a headband, I think you'll be fine and not remembered

Ohhhhhhhhh · 12/08/2023 01:07

Not judging.... 😂

I had a great time at The pleasure Beach last year and I'm already booked to spend a week in Blackpool next year, for Lytham Festival, I love it.

Ugzbugz · 12/08/2023 01:19

Sounds like just like my area. North of London.

The teeth thing makes me sad because it's an effect of the social determinents of health. The other stuff I get you about TBH. I'm not a fan of "shirtless".

That is very interesting @Window82.

Could you tell me please what conclusion the
"lots of missing teeth" drew you to?

nonamebetty2023 · 11/08/2023 23:10

No offence to anyone but it does sound like Blackpool 🤣🤣

@nonamebetty2023 "No offence to anyone but it does sound like Blackpool 🤣🤣"

So claiming that you mean no offence and following that by two very amused faces does not actually work.
No offence to you, but I am afraid that you sound ignorant, judgemental and not very nice to boot 🤣🤣
I wouldn't mind if I had, but I have no personal alliance with Blackpool except that I have visited it a few times in my 60 odd years. I presume that you have too @nonamebetty2023, as you surely wouldn't be so judgemental about a place you have only heard about in gossip columns?

TheMostStrangestThings · 12/08/2023 02:20

At the theme park today I saw a woman forcing open peoples mouths to count their teeth, shaking her head at teens in hoodies and being a bit creepy staring at peoples bodies, then recording it all in her little judgy notebook. Now it all makes sense. She took no notice of her kids and didn’t look to be enjoying herself. She pissed people off and I heard a few people say I hope she gets stung by a wasp. 😅

TheLadyofShalott1 · 12/08/2023 02:26

Window82 · 11/08/2023 23:18

😂
I wasn’t judging it’s what I noticed.

The swearing though was ridiculous.

You were judging. What you said was the epitome of judging.

When we have taken our Grandchild to theme parks I have noticed my Grandchild having great fun and waiting extremely patiently in those admittedly long queues.

Can't tell if this is light hearted or not so I'll bite anyway.
You sound worse than all of your numbered points for coming away from what is a supposedly fun day (if that's your thing) judging other people.
You're not very nice and you need to get a life.

Sanctimonious much?

Lighten up!

@WongWifi

Why?

I am allowed to both dislike offensive comments and/or people, and on Mumsnet I am allowed to share my opinion.

This thread seriously makes me not want to even go out or interact for fear people seriously may think my teeth are missing due to heroin or fighting?! Or I’m a chav?! Wow. Lost them due to life saving surgery :/ Would you comment on someone’s hair loss? Or an amputee? My missing teeth have really damaged my confidence and this is why. So much nasty judging.

Wanttobefree2 · 12/08/2023 03:27

I’m British but don’t live in the UK, it’s often hot where I live and none of the locals walk around with their tops off, ever!! Do see the odd British visitor though :-)

mrsplum2015 · 12/08/2023 03:54

You sound like you don't mix much with the general public op.

All these observations are probably replicated in most city/town centres on a hot day.

And you are judging the shoes. Personally I let my ex choose what feels comfortable rather than projecting my experiences onto them.

LimeDrizzled · 12/08/2023 04:07

Children in ill fitting shoes? Lack of teeth? Poverty is a terrible thing. Let's not sneer at those who suffer.

SeatonCarew · 12/08/2023 04:17

OP is not being unreasonable about people not wearing tops. No one wants to go on a ride people have been sweating all over.

2021x · 12/08/2023 04:19

Definitely Peter Pans in Southend! this brought back vivid memories

YoureALizardHarry11 · 12/08/2023 05:17

People are utter twats. Get a life OP, and everyone else telling posters to lighten up. It’s pathetic that people judge others like this. Haven’t you got anything better going on in your lives?

Totalwasteofpaper · 12/08/2023 05:22

If it was thorpe park yanbu.

I needed to bleach my eyes after my last visit.
