  1. too many men wearing no tops, but gold chains.
  2. a lot of swearing
  3. a lot of tight fitting dresses seemed a bit hot
  4. kids in uncomfortable shoes bad for their feet (no good for walking about)
  5. teens in hoodies - it was 27 degrees
  6. lots of missing teeth in adults
  7. queues too many of them

Pleasure beach then. Not Merlin

mommatoone · 11/08/2023 23:25

Get a life.. Or go to a different theme park, where its more upmarket ,and you dont have to subject yourself to the dregs of society🙄

Ugh, sounds awful.

Dentists are hard to come by for many.

Annaishere · 11/08/2023 23:28

Also if you can’t pay private the nhs wreck your teeth so if you had a bad start with them they become unsalvageable without money

JustACountryMusicGirlInCowboyBoots · 11/08/2023 23:30

What kind of shoes were the children wearing?

I find it fascinating to look around at different people. It doesn't mean I'm judging them. I'd judge the swearing and the lack of tops though. Other stuff I just notice as a point of interest.

CrapBucket · 11/08/2023 23:31

Did you watch your life slide out of view?

ReluctantFishLady · 11/08/2023 23:36

I thought this was going to be this week's fatty "shaming" thread before I opened it.

Are you in the North West? I don't recall Gulliver's World being this bad, so my money is on Blackpool Pleasure Beach too.

BlossomCloud · 11/08/2023 23:36

Apologies... I'll make sure I wear pearls and a twin-set next time

twitchwitch · 11/08/2023 23:39

@CrapBucket
Because there's nothing else to do?

HotSince82 · 11/08/2023 23:41

Sounds like you went back in time, not to Blackpool...

Gold chains and topless has been replaced by heavily tattooed and tanned men

Toothless has been replaced by huge inflatable lips, slug eyebrows, Turkey teeth and dustbrush eyelas extensions

Tight dresses are now athleisure gym shorts and crop tops.

Be a bit more contemporary in your pisstakes in future OP. 2/10 for effort.

SisterWedge · 11/08/2023 23:44

When I went to a theme park last year I saw a police raid on a motor home owned by a cocaine dealer. On the same visit a mother built like a shed attacked another woman cos she'd asked shed woman's kids not to push in a queue.

Lovely British family fun ❤️

pretty fashion sandals on the kids or sliders. Not shoes for a theme park.

deffo low slung jeans, tops of boxers on show, some amazing bodies!

ribbed tight dresses, loads!! Saw the athleisure too, shirt Nike pro shorts.

Window82 · 11/08/2023 23:47

Yes!! Lots of tattoos but there were that many tattoed people it didn’t stand out as such.

aintnothinbutagstring · 11/08/2023 23:48

Wait - not a pay to enter theme park surely - not Thorpe Park or Chessington. Could be Southend, they've had the Oxford Street trouble makers this week

Window82 · 11/08/2023 23:48

*short Nike pro shorts. Not shirt

no not Blackpool not AT not a Merlin

dont want to out myself but not them.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 11/08/2023 23:49

I hate men walking about with no top in. It's gross and shouldn't be allowed.

IveHadItUpToHere · 11/08/2023 23:49

So you didn't notice:
people having fun
people enjoying the sun
families spending time together
friends laughing together

Maybe you need to rethink your focus OP. Here have some fake flowers in the hope it helps you see the flashes of beauty and colour in the everyday. Flowers

Window82 · 11/08/2023 23:49

Yes a pay to enter.

OP posts:
Maireas · 11/08/2023 23:49

I think nowadays you'd only stand out if you didn't have a tattoo.

Yes! Saw a lot of that… but also a lot of shouty parents.

aintnothinbutagstring · 11/08/2023 23:51

Not Paulton Park Peppa Pig World

Ifulikepinacoladas · 11/08/2023 23:51

Was it Drayton Manor?
The things we saw there a few years ago feel like a fever dream still 😂

I shall be wearing a nicely pressed 50s style dress with a big petticoat and a Hyacinth Bucket style hat. Might be a bit awks on Oblivion though.

Sorry but low effort OP. You forgot to complain about too many fat people stuffing their faces while queuing. No Mumsnet bingo for you.

SiobhanSharpe · 11/08/2023 23:56

I think Disney parks have a dress code. Just saying...
