How do British Parents feel about...

...the Brexit vote, given how it has disadvantaged those children without dual nationality?

I'm from NI, so very fortunate that mine still have FOM. I'd be raging if anyone took that away from them.

The issue is that other UK young folk have been deprived of that right by Brexit and I wanted to ask how UK parents feel about that.

What I've noticed is that six years on it is still dividing the nation.

Furthermore because what Brexit would actually look like was never defined (other than "Brexit means Brexit" or "Brexit is red white and blue" whatever that meant) those that voted for Brexit each had their own reasons and what the Brexit they voted for would look like.

This ultimately means that those that voted leave are unhappy because Brexit looks different from what they wanted and those that voted remain are unhappy because they never wanted to leave anyway.

People in Blighty do seem rather unhappy at the moment. Patrick Minford is an Economist I'm favour of Brexit. I'm sure there are others but he is the most prominent one.

Minford says all manufacturing in Britain must cease. Likewise most farming . Minus London the GDP is the same as Mississippi , apparently , so it looks like his prescription is being followed. It is an interesting experiment.

On my last trip over I spoke with two lovely chaps who told me they voted Remain. But now they are happy the UK is out because of the ' vaccine mandate ' or something. Oh and Ulez is because of Brussels. Although you left 7 years ago. EU won't waste time on any more negotiations unless there is 60/ 40 consensus on rejoining. Who tf can blame them.

That is the way you want to live your life, fine. It is not mine.

It doesn't bother me. Several European countries are actively trying to bring in immigrants. We've just moved to one of them on a remote workers visa, so my DC can still get EU citizenship if we want them to.

I think most of the people who complained probably wouldn't have moved abroad anyway. If it's that important to you, you can make it happen.
