How many people does a frozen garlic baguette feed

A friend who is a competitive underfeeder claims 1 baguette feeds 2 adults and 4 teenagers. I say she’s fucking ridiculous.

I’ve eaten half of one whilst typing this so assume there’s a middle ground

I do 2 for the 5 of us (2 adults and 3 DC)

my teens would have one each if we were to allow it.
we usually have 2 for the 5 of us (all adult size) to serve with soup or chilli.

I would cook one as a side to go with pizza or lasagne and it would feed DH + two teens. I’m not that keen on it so they get to eat my share.

(I like the stupidly expensive flatbread ones, I just don’t feel the love for the standard supermarket baguette ones.)

1 baguette for 2 or 3, 2 baguettes for 5 of us (3 teenagers)

One baguette between 4 of us with a big lasagne. But I don’t mind having only the ends, does that count? DH likes the individual slices that go all toasty in the oven. If it’s just us two snacking on those, I add tomato purée/passata, top with cheese, basil and oregano and make garlic pizza bread.

Theres a brand here (I think Dr Oetker) here in Denmark that do a frozen Bolognese pizza and it is EXCELLENT!

What, with pasta?

One reason to move from Sweden to Denmark then, because Dr Oetker doesn’t sell it here. Their rustica pepperoni pizza is decent though!

We are driving there soon might bring a freezer bag 😂, are there any Danes left though they all seem to be over here right now. Always welcome too. 🇩🇰🇸🇪

I could eat a whole one. But I deign to share. Hubbie and I can split one happily but we generally divide by 3 to let our poor child have some. We are garlic bread monsters.

No just the sauce but it’s YUM! They (dr oetker) also do a range called casa do mama (I think) that have the best freaking crust and I’ve never seen them anywhere else!

We have one between us (2 adult and 2 kids) but that’s because it’s served with something else like a big bowl of pasta or spag Bol. On its own then I would serve one between two.

It depends on what else is being served. If I do loads of pizza then hardly anyone will eat the garlic bread so I would do 1 garlic baguette to be shared with 9 people. If I'm making risotto, I would probably do 6 or 7 garlic baguettes for 9 people.

The German pizza did have the spaghetti on as well as the sauce! It sounds wrong... but honestly it works.

The Germans will put anything on pizza!!!

I love the ends of the garlics bread. I scoop out the soft bit and fill it with whatever else is on my plate. I've not had garlic bread for absolutely ages... I've sort of forgotten it existed. Now my mouth is watering at the thought of it.

One baguette feeds three of us - 2 adults and a 4 year old. DP loves garlic bread but can’t eat too much of it as it gives him stomach ache so he only has a little bit so me and my DSS share it between us - he could easily eat 3/4’s by himself and he’s only 4 so!

I could easily eat a whole one with my pasta meal! We shared one between 4 tonight because I intentionally only bought one.

Half a garlic baguette is over 300 calories!
