How many people does a frozen garlic baguette feed

In your house?

A friend who is a competitive underfeeder claims 1 baguette feeds 2 adults and 4 teenagers. I say she’s fucking ridiculous.

I’ve eaten half of one whilst typing this so assume there’s a middle ground

Unless it’s similar to the mumsnet chicken

@Inastatus 1 slice? I think that's a lot. I try to eat half a slice but it takes about 20mins and then I'm too full to eat anything else.

@LovingLalo - yes of course, with 2 strands of spaghetti and a teaspoon of bolognese. Anything more is just pure greed!

I like to eat one to myself really but share with ds 2 now he's back from uni ds4 has decided he likes it too now though!

1 or 2 slices each for us. Not competitive undereaters, we genuinely just have no interest in having more. If it's nicer bread with proper butter, garlic cheese etc i'm more inclined to have more slices.

I have now eaten a whole one with some pasta. Except for the end bits of course 😁

yes I made them - I did them on a frozen garlic bread and again on garlic ciabatta halves. Ciabatta halves were the clear winner due to mess but I loved the frozen garlic bread because it all went a bit soggy and crunchy 😂

2 adults and a small child in this house. DH would happily eat a whole one to himself, but I wouldn't so it'd be wasteful to cook two.

I reckon 3 slices is a portion, so one baguette can serve 3 people max, 4 people require 2 baguettes and there might be some left over, 5-6 people 3 baguettes and so on.

Surely it depends what you are having with it . 1 would be between two in our house if there is a meal as well. 1 each if on it’s own.

Look at the portion size indicated on the pack and it'll tell you how many it should feed.

Depends completely what the rest of your dinner is surely?!?

Meal 1. Lasagne as main, Salad, garlic bread. Then one garlic bread for 3.

Meal 2. Garlic bread. Need 2 each.

2 adults and 4 teenagers?! Don't you only get 7 slices in a garlic baguette?? Who gets the last one? Do they fight over it, or take it in turns??

In our house, DH and I will have half a baguette each. When I saw the title I thought we were going to be piggy, so I'm pleased I'm normal!
