How many people does a frozen garlic baguette feed

In your house?

A friend who is a competitive underfeeder claims 1 baguette feeds 2 adults and 4 teenagers. I say she’s fucking ridiculous.

I’ve eaten half of one whilst typing this so assume there’s a middle ground

Unless it’s similar to the mumsnet chicken

Garlic bread as a meal alone? I can’t imagine that filling up anyone. Garlic bread as a side, 2-3 slices per person so 3 people?

3 portions IMO. Could feed 4 - 2 adults and 2 kids, but you'd only get 2 small slices each and 2 of you would have the hard knobbly ends.

I hate end bits too.

We used to buy a pack of two to have as a side when it was just me and DH and it was perfect.

Now we still buy two but have two preschoolers to feed too and it's not enough. Think we're going to have to concede and start getting a single and a two pack soon.

One baguette between five people is madness.

There are 9 slices if you include the end bits. If you discard the end bits then there are 7 slices

You cant give 7 slices between 4 people and expect that to be a portion.

2 of us and we both fight over the middle bits, can't stand the dry non-garlicky end bits.

Surely it depends what else you're having with it. DS 4 could eat half a baguette and maybe more, but I don't give him that much because I'd rather he ate the pasta which at least contains veg and some salad too.
Big bowl of pasta and salad, I'd have a slice or maybe two. Sometimes none, I'd rather have more pasta. Post pub I could probably finish a baguette on my own.
I usually do one baguette for two adults and a DC and the end bits are often left.

I don't know who decided that 9 slices was the right amount. The only number of people it will equally divide between is 3, and that gives quite a small portion each.

It would feed 2 adults and 4 teenagers, provided you add in lasagne and salad. Otherwise 1 person, 2 if a light meal.

On the pack we get it says a portion is 1/4 of a baguette.
Teen & DH eat half each generally but teen has been known to eat a whole one.

We've just had one and a half between 2 adults, 1 teen and a pre-teen. If it was just the 2 of us we'd have half each.

Depends on the rest of the food a bit, but me, DH and DS share one- I could probably eat one to myself though if required :D

As a side between my husband, me, 18, 13 and 10 year old we just have one and it generally isn't always eaten and a couple of bits left. Generally just have a slice each.

It feeds 5 of us. 1-2 slices each if with a boring pasta dish but double that if it's with soup or a stew.

My 4 year old would eat a full one.

It serves 2 adults. Begrudgingly. Because I'd rather have a full one.
