Another day of rain due here - seems to be worst in the weekend lately.

Don't want to spend the day indoors moaning about it.

What is everyone up to today if your also facing a rainy day?

Just returned from a weeks holiday with a 9, 3 and 1 year old so movie and pj day with the kids - will break up the day with a park trip later and catching up with the washing!

DD is currently watch CBeebies while I have a cup of tea. Going for breakfast this morning with DH and DD and then will head to my parents in the Midlands this afternoon to see everyone!

I'm back home in the UK for a month visiting and loving it (including the weather! I'll take rain over 34 degrees anyday).
We're heading out this morning for a family birthday breakfast. There will be 9 of us! Then nipping into Tesco to buy a few things. This afternoon, DH is off to watch rugby and I'll spend the afternoon with my boys (3 and 6 months) and my mum relaxing. It's been a full on week.

There's one near me. About a dozen cata roaming around in the cafe that you can stroke, play with etc.

My husband refers to it as a 'cat brothel'

I was away all day yesterday visiting a friend so domestic one today - need to do some decluttering (one particular pile which I've been saying for weeks), a bit of work, and will try and resist my daughter's homemade banana muffins!
It's pouring and feel for my son (who lives elsewhere) who rides a motorcycle to work - hope his waterproofs live up to their name!
And the builder guys have shown up next door - they are doing a loft conversion, and I feel every drill and hammer!

I’m feeling a bit she’ll shocked after a brutal week at work. But now on leave for 2 weeks.

We leave for a holiday in the Scottish Highlands tomorrow so today is mostly packing, cleaning and errands.

I’ve never looked forward to 2 days of car travel so much!!

Just getting home from a work trip to a European country, looking forward to doing not a lot today

It’s my DC’s 7th birthday. We’re doing a soft play party as we know from bitter experience how often in rains on her birthday!

Hosting a party for 40 people for a family member, in a garden on the south west. Yeah, thanks Storm Antoni.

Painting my daughters bedroom walls and skirting board and building her a new bed.... can I be sat on sofa instead plz !!

Love this! We do this occasionally too. It's so fun enjoy!

Do some washing. Have a bath. Cut off all my (remaining) hair. Watch films. Make shopping list.
To be fair I'm recovering from chemo toxicity and most of those things wouldn't have been possible last week! It is also lovely to know I have 2 days in a row with no hospital appointments 😁

It gives me a cosy feeling reading what everyone is up too!
Me and DD are on the sofa watching Paw patrol movie, a welcome change as she has been watching Frozen at every given opportunity!!
DP is working away this weekend, so me and DD are meeting my dad for a coffee and cake at lunchtime and then i have booked her on for a soft play session this afternoon, taking my book hoping for 30 mins peace!
Pop to shop on way home and then a quiet evening

I'm going to a bodybuilding show with DD's
I've never been to one before and my PT is competing

First aid cover at a local music festival. Taking wellies and waterproofs. Feel very sorry for them - last year was hot and sunny and heaving and they did really well for the first one after the pandemic. Tomorrow will be better, but a mud bath.

Drinking tea in bed with favourite cat child curled up next to me. Dd2 has a party at a soft play at 10 so will be going there. Have lots of charity donations to drop off too. Viewing a house at 2pm - weren't planning to move for a couple of years but this just might be right for us. Dh going to tackle some house jobs, in case we need to sell ours 😅 Hopefully can convince tween dd1 that moving isn't a terrible prospect!

I don’t think I’ve slept at all. Now back in bed with 6 year old (birthday today!) and 2 year old whilst husband has the luxury of the single in the corner (my parents have been given our his room whilst the visit all bloody weekend. Gave up on sleep about 4sm, got up and logged on to work as had a panic about something, blew up balloons, hung bunting, wrapped presents, emptied and filled dishwasher, showered, discovered the helium canister I bought from Hobbycraft a week ago is a dud. Will spend the day feeding and clearing up after everyone including in-laws wrote going to a ‘family’ restaurant for dinner and stressing about running a kids party at home tomorrow. Sorry for the moan, I’m just really bloody tired and stressed!

I've been working most of the week so the DC haven't done much so I'm going to brave soft play he'll as soon as it opens to try and get them out and then food shopping. If the rain doesn't stop this afternoon for a walk then it will be painting and crafts. That I may or may not need with gin after said soft play he'll
