Another day of rain due here - seems to be worst in the weekend lately.

Don't want to spend the day indoors moaning about it.

What is everyone up to today if your also facing a rainy day?

I’m listening to the rain lashing against the windows while drinking coffee in bed. Nothing planned for today so I will do some watercolour painting while listening to music, cuddle up with the dog and my book or get on with some crochet. Dog will need a walk sometime but she’s not keen on rain- so long as I’m dressed for it I actually enjoy walking in the rain!
Meal-wise there’s biryani for lunch, plenty of food in the house so no need for shopping.
I’m content 😊

Also rainy here in Finland, about to get the train up north (going to my little cousin's confirmation) where its supposed to be a bit sunnier. Just checked the forecast, tomorrow will be 23 degrees and sunny so I am happy! But this does leave me in a dilemma as to whether or not to take a coat. It might pour it down while we're waiting for the first train, but supposed to be dry the rest of the time so seems like a hassle to take a coat.

Going to a wedding!

Augustus40 · 05/08/2023 07:41

Ailing back so going to do some gentle yoga stretching that not done for a year. Going forward plan to do 15 or 20 mins every 2 days.

We’re planning to visit the Freddie Mercury exhibition at Southebys.

Impatientwino · 05/08/2023 07:48

We have tickets for a local music festival. Rare day off for DH and I, babysitter booked and was so looking forward to it!

Sad for the organisers as I think it will spoil a lot of the activities planned and will mean a lot of the stages are quieter. Last year was warm and sunny and it was great!

DH has bloody tonsillitis of all things and will be staying here in bed out the way and babysitter still happy to come so I'm heading down anyway to meet our friends in the rain later! At least I don't have to do my hair Wink

Going to watch wheelchair rugby

Taking my DD 15 to Westfield for a bit of shopping to cheer her up. Her ‘bestie’ has over shared DD feelings with one boy about another boy. This is big stuff when you’re 15.

parkrun followed by an open water swim - we decided we'd be wet anyway once we got in the water. Coffee and cake to follow.

at the same place? I've yet to try this, the Docks or Willen lakes are a few options. I'm going to Parkrun with DD as I keep missing it for OWS myself

IhaveanewTVnow · 05/08/2023 07:51

Park run and then a bbq later which has been moved inside (bbq will be outside under an umbrella in the typical British way of having fun whilst it rains).

fedupallthisrubbish · 05/08/2023 07:52

Debating whether to go to London - booked a premier inn but can cancel up to 1pm. Might just have a chill out w/e - hate rain.

FrauleinElsaMars · 05/08/2023 07:52

School clothes shopping with a very fussy teen, with very expensive taste. Anyone want to swap, I'll happily take on some housework and ironing 😂

PurpleGreenandWhiteAreTheNewPrimaryColours · 05/08/2023 07:52

Going on holiday to the seaside (uk)

Hahahahahaha

It’s my birthday and I’m going to pick up my new bike woo hoo

Happy birthday!

ifonly4 · 05/08/2023 07:54

Had planned to pack for going away and then see BIL and family later. I'm working tomorrow so had DH lined up to do last minute fresh food shopping, washing (did some yesterday, but want it up to date before going away) and a quick hoover downstairs. He's now helping a friend move tomorrow, so looks like I've got a walk down to Tescos in the rain to do the shopping myself this morning. He doesn't know it, but he's still doing the washing and hoovering!

WishingOnACar · 05/08/2023 07:54

I’m working. Don’t mind doing a Saturday shift so much in this weather!

NeedWineNow · 05/08/2023 07:55

At the moment I'm in bed on MN, it's pouring and I'm debating whether to go and put the kettle on.

We've been out a bit this week so am in today. I need to make a card for a forthcoming wedding and also paint our bathroom cabinet prior to the bathroom being refitted in 3 weeks so will do either of those tasks today. Also need to start thinking about holiday clothes and toiletries for cruise holiday which usually entails me trying loads of things on and wondering if I can lose 2 stone in a nanosecond before reverting to gin and chocolate.

Fluffypiki · 05/08/2023 07:55

We have overseas visitors, 2 adults, 3 teens, 1 child. We are going to Piccadilly 😂😂.

RaizeHell · 05/08/2023 07:55

Parkrun and a cat cafe

ShippingNews · 05/08/2023 07:56

Living in Australia - it's still winter but it's sunny and today it's 23 C . I did some gardening .

soundsys · 05/08/2023 07:57

We're planning to check out the new Young V&A museum - and hoping that enough people are out of London for the queues to have died down a bit!

TenoringBehind · 05/08/2023 07:58

Going to work today and tomorrow

Hocuspocusnonsense · 05/08/2023 08:01

Going insane! Children aged 4,6 and 8, they’ve been up since 7 and asking “what are we doing today?” “Where are we going?” Can’t believe how crap the weather has been since they broke up.
