My cousins are here for two weeks

Two weeks is a long time to think a family can tour them around
Cook and clean for them?

Or am I being too mean?

I'm so sick of walking in pee from the husband in the toilet
It's everywhere

I just had to clear all his breakfast food up
With a baby in my arms screaming her head off

Aghhhhhhhjjj

Sorry all just needed to vent

True

Stay calm and get on with it

7 days to go

Id be making disgusted noises and comments every time the loo was left in a mess and refuse to clean it up.

Same with the table - Id stop and watch as he makes the mess and make eye contact with a look on my face and slowly walk away.

They cant be that 'nice' if they knowingly leave piss everywhere

shoppinisttimeagain · 31/07/2023 10:54

Oh my goodness op that is the height of bad manners !!!! How can an adult man no see that he's leaving a Piss trail everywhere?!? Can you not speak to your cousin? I mean surely if she feels comfortable enough to be staying with her you could have 'A wee chat' with her about a few things? Their own house must be a dump

Why don't you say something? What are you afraid of?

I am continuously amazed what people will put up with instead of just opening their mouths, using their words and saying something, instead they seem to prefer living with resentment, martyrdom and a hard done by attitude. Things won't change nor will people respect you or you house unless you pull them up on their behaviour.

@PurpleChrayne

Apparently I have high standards and “You’re always cleaning!”.

This is the first time it’s been an issue re 💩and obviously the air hockey table as it is new.

Brought up the same, but now they live in a different country hence staying here.
I will not be available next year.
We are already thinking ahead to be away ourselves coincidentally at the same time so they will have to find alternative accommodation.

"Yes. I do have high standards."

"I'm always cleaning when you are here, because you do not pull your weight. I love you and you are very welcome here, but I am not a hotel. If you clean up after yourselves, as every other adult in this household does, then I won't have to be ' always cleaning' and we can have more fun together."

True I hear you

So far today I have put his plates in a pile in front of him and asked for help

I have put all the cleaning materials on top of the toilet lid so he or his wife can see what he has done

You are a total wet for allowing them to treat your home and you this way. And it doesn't sound like you're going to do anything about it. Can believe you would rather clean up some mingers urine than tell him to clean it himself. They both sound vile, I would have told them to leave the second time he pissed on the floor, having told him the first time to clean it himself.

AliceOlive · 31/07/2023 11:05

I think I’d throw someone out immediately if they pissed all over my floor even once.

You see, I don't think this is real now. Your reaction is weird.

EnjoyingTheSilence · 31/07/2023 11:07

Why haven’t you said anything to him??

msbevvy · 31/07/2023 11:11

Why would you bin the toilet mat? Isn't the point of them keeping (men's) piss off the floor ? Just throw it in the washing machine.

Do you think they will? Instead of hinting just come right out and say something, have a bit of pride and self esteem in yourself, stop allowing yourself to be used as a skivvy cleaning up someone else's piss in your own home.

Don't ask, demand and if they don't react well or like it tell them to find somewhere else to stay for the remainder of their holiday. This is your home it is not a hotel.

Absolutely get where you coming from OP, as I’ve just literally come out of the other side as they left for the airport this morning

My DC air hockey table has two pencil sized holes gouged in it (got it for Christmas, so still almost like new)
I could cry.

Went to the top floor where they stayed, no word of a lie - a whole toilet bowl full of 💩left unflushed!

And 💩stains on the bedsheets, and this was the adult’s room!

I feel sick.
And they come here every year, so it’ll be the same again.

Why would you even have them back?😱

Beautiful3 · 31/07/2023 11:38

Just tell them it's been lovely having them but 2 weeks is too long, so it's just for a week now. Say no next time.

thisisasurvivor · 31/07/2023 11:59

Yes exactly

Sorry just needed a long long rant

FatCatBum · 31/07/2023 12:41

thisisasurvivor · 31/07/2023 10:20

I have already taken them out every day

Bin, floormat and toilet all covered In his pee

Every single time

'Bob, you've made a bit of a mess in the bathroom, could you go and sort it out please' every single time

Just looked at the plates like what are you doing?

Toilet he is using toilet paper to clean up the piss

And leaves the fcking toilet paper on top of the fcking bin so I have to life it off bin and Throw in toilet
Agggggggghhhhhhh

I'm a cow I know I am
Just one week I could handle this not too

OP posts:
RicherThanYews · 31/07/2023 14:44

I wouldn't want a toilet mat soaked in someone else's piss going through my washing machine tbh and I'd bin it too, bleurgh.
