As with the username I'm a nosey parker and I always find myself wondering what people have in their shopping bags.

What has everybody brought recently?

I went shopping as it was payday and I came to an absolute blank. Literally all I brought was some baby grows for my daughter.

Need to go find my daughter's first pair of shoes in Clarks today ❤️

Two plants that I've wanted for aaaages. Finally treated myself. (a Pink Princess and a Thai Constellation if anyone is interested 🤣)

TickleMyPickle · 28/07/2023 23:28

This arrived today and it’s lovely, really impressed with it for the price. I’ve recently lost 4 stone and it’s a big milestone for me that a size 12 fits!!

This skirt from Boden, it’s lovely in real life and a bit different.

@Janieforever I bet it looks lovely on you.

I'd look like Kermit & Miss Piggy's love child!!

NoseyParker000 · 28/07/2023 14:51

I'll add an English language book to my list? (Sorry my English isnt up to your standard 😂)

@NoseyParker000

well they do have very different meanings.

I bought my house

I brought my house (bring, brought) very difficult to do unless you live in a tent or trailer home 😂

personally I bought a replacement iPad (mine having died @ 8 years), and I've brought it to bed. Yep my Saturday night is that exciting!! 🙄🙄

CuttedUpAvocadoPear · 29/07/2023 00:51

Some new skirts and a few books.

vegantubbycustard · 29/07/2023 00:52

Geeky t-shirt from eBay.

Twite · 29/07/2023 01:11

A waterproof jacket, couple of fleece tops and base layers in the mountain warehouse sale. I've given up on the summer and am planning for autumn and winter warmth.

RatSalad · 29/07/2023 01:13

A very last minute holiday!

I hate being spontaneous, especially with money, so it feels all kinds of wrong but I’m trying to go with the flow.

Twite · 29/07/2023 01:14

@TickleMyPickle congrats on your weight loss, and that green dress is gorgeous!

Megjobethamy · 29/07/2023 01:16

A set of copper mugs for Moscow Mules( cocktail) Had them on holidays, well more specifically Dubrovnik Mules, and they were fab! Trying to re create them! Also a set of espresso spoons for eating bolied eggs!

halfpasteleven · 29/07/2023 05:21

Coldplay tickets.

meatbaseddessert · 29/07/2023 05:33

All the 'kind' handwringers calling out those who have indicated it's 'bought' not 'brought' as pendants and 'sad'. No I had no idea what the OP meant.

Brought and bought mean two totally different things. Totally different. It's not like 'their' it should be 'they're' or 'draw' when it should be 'drawer' which sound exactly the same with different spellings.

It's just totally wrong and it's not 'kind' to ignore it.

wannabetraveler · 29/07/2023 05:35

Scalottia · 28/07/2023 18:45

Obviously, but it's really annoying to see the word brought when it should be bought.

I agree. It's really, really basic English and I'm always a bit "WTF?" when I see that mistake written down.

freesolo76 · 29/07/2023 05:40

After months of deliberating over lampshades I bought this for a lovely brass and wood floor lamp I got from Facebook marketplace.

What have you brought recently?
Twoscotcheggsandajarofmarmite · 29/07/2023 05:53

I treated myself to a ridiculously large Stanley cup. I’ve been obsessing over them for months and they were finally restocked on Thursday. I missed the last one because I was on holiday. I am stupidly excited about it!
Also some silver ankle wellies for my daughter. She’s off to a festival next weekend and even if the rain stops now the place will be a mud bath, it’s rained so much lately.

WellPlaced · 29/07/2023 05:58

Clarks sandals which I’m just deciding whether to keep or not.

Diamond earrings

A kimono

GADDay · 29/07/2023 06:01

Nothing. I am having 1 year off buying anything new.

So aside from a few op shop summer dresses, it's been a purchase free year so far.

stayingaliveisawayoflife · 29/07/2023 06:26

Stuff to decorate my new classroom even though I wasn't going to. I want the children to feel it is a happy place and I have put the effort in!

RuthTopp · 29/07/2023 06:35
