TV presenter allegations

JeandeServiette · 08/07/2023 23:54

Could we PLEASE have a thread that stays up?

Meaning don't name anyone, or any programme or ask for initials or hint.

I just would like to discuss how this is likely to unfold.

No, it has always been referred to as ‘she’ in all the online articles I’ve seen.

Katie Razzell apparently said he in one interview.

No, it has always been referred to as ‘she’ in all the online articles I’ve seen.

Can you link to one news article in which the child is referred to as a she?

Ellmau · 09/07/2023 21:34

*The Metropolitan police confirmed it was in discussions with the BBC about the incident but had not received a formal allegation

So the mother has not reported this to the police.*

Or doesn't live in London and has reported to their own force?

It's all very unclear.

AbsolutelyFabulous8 · 09/07/2023 21:35

Apologies I thought I did and didn’t know how to let delete my post. Will try again

LovelyIssues · 09/07/2023 21:36

@Hangonaminutethere I'm thinking the same. Distasteful definitely, but not illegal.

sarahh96 · 09/07/2023 21:37

@mumyes in answer to your question, no.

Ontheroadyetagain · 09/07/2023 21:39

@mumyes
i still can’t tell who it is 😂

mumyes · 09/07/2023 21:41

I think I know now…I’m surprised though!

sarahh96 · 09/07/2023 21:44

@Cantlastsixweeksofthis every night!

mumyes · 09/07/2023 21:44

Illegal - likely.

But regardless of legality, the BBC receives public funding & I for one want to see a publicly funded body apply ethics & morals to their operations.

Let's suppose the BBC presenter in question is in his 60s, or even 50s, what he has done is a gross abuse of power & fucking immoral.

Sack the bastard.

As with all the sleezeballs in politics, enough is enough. Get the duck off our screens & out of our public SERVICE positions.

Cantlastsixweeksofthis · 09/07/2023 21:44

@Ontheroadyetagain can you Dm it me

@Cantlastsixweeksofthis every night!

Huh? So confused?!

Jaichangecentfoisdenom · 09/07/2023 21:47

@Lacucuracha - her is clearly referring to the child's mother, who is the one who is female here, not the child. All the articles I have seen have had the mother referring to her child as "they".

Cantlastsixweeksofthis · 09/07/2023 21:47

@mumyes Me too, I’m sure he hasn’t presented for the BBC every night 🤷🏻‍♀️
@sarahh96 ??
