Also because women have career breaks or just go on maternity leave.

Why do women go part time? Often to provide childcare. Men don't do that so much because 'their employer wouldn't like it' or 'they are earning more'. Both of which reasons entrench it being the woman's responsibility to give up on their career for family reasons.

So to answer the OP's question. Boys can grow up to be men whose careers are nearly so likely to be negatively impacted when they have a family.

I'm guessing the answer is supposed to be "nothing", so the things that the kids do write will be challenged in class. I.e gender stereotyping.
