Mine (10 year old boy) seems to have very small feet. He's a 13.

Everyone else I speak to - which granted isn't that many as it's a weird question to ask - have children with much bigger feet.

Just wanted a quick straw poll.

My Yr 4 DS is size 3, but he is around 75th centile for height. Many boys in his class are at least a size or 2 smaller.

turnthetoiletpaperroundproperly · 26/06/2023 12:39

13 too same as your boy

lucylousweetie · 26/06/2023 12:39

Gosh that is tiny!

My DD in year 3, normal height and very slender…. 2.5

End of Y4, youngest in class, size 4.
He is quite tall though.

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 26/06/2023 12:42

My yr 4 Dd aged 9 is in adult size 5 now, but I'm a size 8 and her dad size 11 so dainty feet were never likely for her. She's also ridiculously tall and towers over 3/4s of her class.

Porthia · 26/06/2023 12:42

y5 DD is only just in a 2.

RhosynBach · 26/06/2023 12:43

my ds is 10 and shoe size 5. He is 11 in august
my dd is 8 and size 1

is your ds average height? Both mine are about 75th percentile for height so prob why they have bigger feet. Ds is 5 foot

Sarahtm35 · 26/06/2023 12:44

My daughter in year 5 is a size 2 but she takes after her dad who is short with massive feet.
im sure he’ll do all his growing when he gets to a teen 😊

Smarshian · 26/06/2023 12:45

DS is size 6. DD (yr1) is a size 2. 13 does seem unusually small.

BamBamBambi · 26/06/2023 12:45

DS is 10 and a size 2

CMOTDibbler · 26/06/2023 12:47

DS was a 13 at the start of reception, by end of yr 6 I think he was an adult 6. He is 6'5 at 17 and a size 11 shoe so not massively big feet

Iizzyb · 26/06/2023 12:49

DS is 10 and a size 5 foot but also very tall for his age - his dad is tall, as was my dad, my brother and my uncle (dad's brother) are also tall with big feet - it would be more of a worry for me if he was petite

He towers over several of his friends tho x

Crunchymum · 26/06/2023 12:49

I'd say he is on the smaller side height wise, not the shortest in his class but definitely one of the smaller boys. It does seems to be a very tall class though!

My 8yo is a size 12 and 5yo 9.5.

My Y5 dd is a size 4 (dh and I both are tall with big feet though!). My 5 year old is in a size 11.

Lazyladydaisy · 26/06/2023 13:00

Yr 5 - nearly 10 size 4. He is one of the taller children though, even as one of the youngest.

Hill1991 · 26/06/2023 13:07

My 5yo is a size 13 but he's really tall for his age.

Sensibletrousers · 26/06/2023 13:08

DS is 10 and a size 3, and average height

Quartz2208 · 26/06/2023 13:10

DS is a 7 but he is the same height as me

DD was I think 13/1 at that age is now 3.5 at 14 and also same height as me

CeeJay81 · 26/06/2023 13:12

DD Y4 is a size 3. Just below average height I think.

Wanttoshavemyhairoff · 26/06/2023 13:20

Size 13 is very small ! My dd5 is a size 12!
Dd10 is a size 4. Both are extremely tall though .
On the bright side at least you won’t have to fork out on adult sizes for a while yet !

Crunchymum · 26/06/2023 13:24

I thought they were small.

He'e been measured recently as well (and has a brand new pair of size 13 trainers he says are the comfiest things ever) so I am sure he's wearing the right size. He isn't all that long out of a 12 to be honest.

My just turned 7 yr olds are size 1 1/2.

Kimchi · 26/06/2023 13:29

My DS 11 is in 5.5. He’s slightly taller than average. Other DS 8 is in 3.5.

DiscoDragon · 26/06/2023 13:31

My 9yr old (end of yr4) is a size 1, depending on which shop we take him too anyway, sizes seem to be different in different shops!

Ilovewillow · 26/06/2023 13:32

My son is yr 5 (9, 10 in August) and tall and hes in an adult 6 going into a 7. For comparison my nearly 15 yr old daughter who is short like me is only an adult 5.
