Mine (10 year old boy) seems to have very small feet. He's a 13.

Everyone else I speak to - which granted isn't that many as it's a weird question to ask - have children with much bigger feet.

Just wanted a quick straw poll.

Year 5, but August born DD is a 6... same as me! She's tall for her age though.

MrsCharlieD · 26/06/2023 17:08

My DS is year 4 and just turned 9. He's a size 7! He's very tall though, 148cm last time I measured him and that was beginning of the year.

NoFitStateMum · 26/06/2023 17:13

My Yr5 child is adult size 6.5 or 7 depending on the brand.

My youngest is 7 and small for their age and they're in a 1 already.

Young year 4 is currently a size 5 and has caught up his 12 year old sister. He is very tall though.

ownworstnme · 26/06/2023 17:21

Ds is 10.5 and his feet are 3 and have been for almost six months!

justasoul · 26/06/2023 17:27

Just had a quick look and DD started Y7 in 13.5s, so I’m guessing 12-ish in Y5? She is tiddly though, and I have small feet.

Yuja · 26/06/2023 17:27

DD is 10 and size 5.5. She's tall though

DanceMumTaxi · 26/06/2023 17:30

Ds age 10 (y5) just gone into size 5. He’s reasonably tall, but by no means the tallest. Wears age 10-11 clothes. Dd age 7 (y2) just gone into size 2. She is tall though, wears age 8-9 clothes. Your ds’s feet do sound tiny.

CupCakeForTheBirthdayGirl · 26/06/2023 17:32

Y4 DD is a size 10 but wears insoles so wears an 11

fingerscrossed27 · 26/06/2023 17:32

My son is year year 3 and size 6 he is very tall though

mutleyschuckle · 26/06/2023 17:35

Year 5, was 10 in March & still in infants size 12 🙄😂 he is about the size of a 7/8 year old though so they don't look diddy in proportion to his body

Ihaveated · 26/06/2023 17:36

Y5 DS just into a size 1

WreckTangled · 26/06/2023 17:38

Ds is y5, aged 10 and wears adult size 8. Complete pain as adult shoes are so much more expensive. Plus football boots etc. makes me so cross! He’s fairly tall but not massively so, almost 5’1”.

Mumwho · 26/06/2023 17:42

My DS 10 is in year 5 he wears size 6.5 / EU 40 hes one of the tallest in his class, he's 5ft 5" already...

sunshineandtea · 26/06/2023 17:52

My Y4 9yo DS is size 4.5 and DD age 7 in Y2 is a size 2 😆😆 both average height and slim but enormous feet

Mumof1andacat · 26/06/2023 17:57

Year 5, was 10 in January. He's in an adult size 5. He's 4ft 11.

Holly03 · 26/06/2023 17:58

Ds year 5 and size 5 shoes. Really big feet

Holly03 · 26/06/2023 17:58

So glad I’m not the only one shopping in the adult section.

msmatcha · 26/06/2023 18:03

My DS is similar - small build, yr6. Just into size one. When children come to play I'm always checking out the huge shoes.

Andanotherone01 · 26/06/2023 18:06

DD in year 4 (but Nov birthday) is a size 2

Onthegrid · 26/06/2023 18:10

I have DD and they follow me in that they started tall and grew early so they started year 5 at size 5 and size 6, and we both at least 5' tall ended up as adults with size 7 and size 8, at 5'7" tall

My DS is year 8 and just reached this height and shoe size!

@Crunchymum I'm pretty sure my DS would have been a similar size to yours at age 10. He started secondary school in size 1 or 1.5 shoes (age nearly 12) . He's 13.5 now and has grown 3 shoe sizes in the last 6 months.

cadetmumstress · 26/06/2023 19:12

DS is year 5, average height (maybe a teeny bit on the smaller side of average amongst his peers) and has size 3.5 feet.

Sycasmores · 26/06/2023 19:16

DS yr 5 is a size 4. I'd honestly ask the GP if he's not also unusually short.

Clevs · 26/06/2023 19:30

My reception age son is a size 13.5.
