What things do you wish were socially acceptable?

I wish that you could ask random people to bring their dogs(And other animals) round for a playdate.(With me) I see so many new dogs and I wish people would bring them to my door so I could meet them.

Likewise with newborn babies.

I also wish that it was ok to ask everyone's name or to wear name badges. I'm fascinated by first names and I always want to ask baby and children's names and why the parents chose them.

What do you wish was socially acceptable?

Farting. I have sat in agony in many a meeting for something that is a bit like a cough - just needs to get out!

Nottherightname · 21/06/2023 19:01

Dancing in the street to the music in my ear buds. Licking the packing on my chocolate eclair to get the chocolate off.

whatsmynameaga1n · 21/06/2023 19:02

Jogging/skipping instead of walking to get places! So much quicker

CindersAgain · 21/06/2023 19:04

Doing yoga in public places, eg at the airport. It’s such a waste of time just sitting for all that time. I’m happy to sit for a while but it’s annoying not to be able to do a quick stretch.

KevinDeBrioche · 21/06/2023 19:04

Being drunk in the daytime 🤣

sunshineandtea · 21/06/2023 19:04

Saying what you mean.

Boomboxinmyattic · 21/06/2023 19:06

Banning dogs for anyone without the right qualifications for training them.

SirenSays · 21/06/2023 19:08

Being naked at home without closing the curtains

Saying no for MH reasons. Taking MH days off work

Playing games as an adult - my husband and I play hide and seek with the dogs

Fixing wedgies in public. The wiggle doesn't always work!

Sleeping in as late as you want without needing an excuse.

HereComesMaleficent · 21/06/2023 19:11

Being able to say to people exactly how you feel. Especially in the work place.

Like

"Fuck off you are boring me"
"Shut up,you annoy the shit out of me"
"Why have you always got to be such an arrogant stubborn twat about everything"
"You are fucking incompetent "

I personally think it would make a better work environment if people could just say how they felt without issue. 🤣

Snowleopards · 21/06/2023 19:13

Saying no to invites to stuff just because I don’t want to.

Saying what you mean.

I already do this 😅 Not all the time tho

MaxwellCat · 21/06/2023 19:16

Farting should never be socially acceptable, coughs arent smelly

Gistbury · 21/06/2023 19:17

Parenting your child the way you want

SidekickSylvia · 21/06/2023 19:17

Pushing huggers away if you've only just met them with a firm 'no', instead of having to politely endure it.

And skipping everywhere obviously.

Bananaspliff · 21/06/2023 19:19

I’ve always said I’d enjoy my job far more if I could speak to my colleagues like my kids 😂

”I said no, and that’s final”
”Pack it in, now”
”I have already told you to stop doing that”

NotRightNowNo · 21/06/2023 19:20

Sucking your thumb in public. Its always struck me as weird that you can smoke/vape which is really detrimental to yours and others health, but thumb sucking is not done. Odd.

Boomboxinmyattic · 21/06/2023 19:21

Carrying a water pistol at work - actually two, one filled with water and one with thin gravy.

Imagine how much less gossipy work places would be if you could just say what you actually wanted to.

People would know where they stand with everyone haha 🤣

Like when you meet someone you find interesting, whether by or girl, just starting chatting with them sans pearl clutching if you're keen and interested. In moderation tho

Dramaturg · 21/06/2023 19:23

Not wearing a bra when you have massive norks. Women with small tits have it SO much easier.

EllaRaines · 21/06/2023 19:24

Dogs allowed everywhere

Winding down your window at traffic lights to ask the complete stranger where they are heading?

I'm a nosy sod and always curious about this.

notanothernamechangemother · 21/06/2023 19:31

Picking nose in public
Going naked anywhere without any feeling of discomfort.

Boomboxinmyattic · 21/06/2023 19:31
