Just seen this article and had to share - I can't believe the hateful language used by the author:

'High profile people, who I consider transphobic, like some politicians and former role models – who aren’t even worthy of the term ‘TERF’ (meaning trans exclusionary radical feminist) as it has ‘feminist’ in the name, and that they most certainly are not – have made it their mission to stoke a panic over trans people'.

I have no issue with trans women using the loos I'm in - you shouldn't either

Today, I'm sick and frustrated of the obsessive, hateful loud siren voices who act as if they're speaking for all cis women.

Douglas* I think we're on the same page? I'm saying I'm happy to share a loo with a trans man as biologically they are female and therefore highly* unlikely to assault me.

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 20/06/2023 18:54

No idea why that's all in bold Grin

What I really don't get is, that the trans woman think like a woman, identifies themselves as a woman. So, where are the threats?

On the other hand, trans man think they are a man, identifies as a man. I feel more awkward if someone who thinks themselves as a man was in woman's place.

Yes I can understand there maybe some people who use this as their advantage, but what are the chances? It must be so rare. Trans woman won't expose their genitals in front of women, so most of the time it just goes unnoticed. But if we made sure the xx person have to use certain bathroom and xy the other, like it started to happen in US, it just make so many problems like I said earlier in the thread. Female bathroom is separated and private. I just can't see the problem. As for the way we use, I've seen so many disgusting toilet everywhere, I'm not so sure if women keep it clean and nice.

OK. I'll bite.

Can you explain how we write and enforce a rule that says that a male person who "thinks like a woman" can use women's toilets but a male person who "thinks like a man" has to stay out?

Hoppinggreen · 20/06/2023 20:26

“Thinks like a woman”?
WTAF?

What if we just let people use the place where they feel most comfortable? I'm sure a man, who think like a man, look like a man, feel uncomfortable using woman's toilet, getting stared at with disbelief, on the other hand, who would question a person, who look like a woman, have no intention to cause trouble, just using the woman's toilet, getting into a cubicle, and leave.

You really need to think what 'thinks like a woman' means. I can only think it means thinking 'have I got a tampon with me' when you leave the house. Though that would mean I won't think like a woman soon because I am heading to menopause.

They think they are woman, so they think like a woman. I'm not a trans, so I can't really explain the way they think. But that's what I think they do.

And we know men who come into women’s toilets have no intention to cause trouble how exactly?

SkaterBrained · 20/06/2023 20:37

We can't let people choose where they feel comfortable, when doing so makes that space inaccessible and less comfortable for many other people.

Perhaps all vulnerable men - gay men, disabled men, men in religious dress, short men, Celtic supporters with rangers supporters nearby etc. would feel more comfortable in with the women. That's not our problem to solve unless you only see women as support humans for men. Men need to sort this out

Hoppinggreen · 20/06/2023 20:38

Lots of use of the word “think” there, which is interesting, I prefer to deal with facts rather than thoughts

I am not giving a "pick-me-girl" the satisfaction of reading her pathetic "not-like-other- girls" manifesto.

This. God help her. Some day she'll learn that we're all classed as hags in the end 😏

It's obviously up to us women to just let the males in and try and guess which one is aggressive/rapey and which "thinks like a woman" and wouldn't use their penis to attack us......which has happened. Women and girls have been raped by transwomen and transgirls being allowed into female toilets.

No penis = no rape. Don't let men in.

SkaterBrained · 20/06/2023 20:42

"They think they are woman, so they think like a woman. I'm not a trans, so I can't really explain the way they think. But that's what I think they do."

You're not trans so can't claim to know how they think....
They are not women so can't....

Oblomov23 · 20/06/2023 20:43

I can't believe the tripe she's sprouting. She has no idea of the issues.

I refer to https://fb.watch/lhKG6wfTjy/governor who also shows well what these woke people with no back up to their arguments consist of.

Sorry. Let's see if that link works.

Oblomov23 · 20/06/2023 20:47

I do. The woke woman is talking nonsense.

EllaRaines · 20/06/2023 20:47

What's all this 'think like a woman' crap?

I like to think I'm a super model instead of an old bag, shall I just rock up to a cat walk and insist on trotting up and down in my comfy slippers and blue rinse? It's my right, don't you know?

VaddaABeetch · 20/06/2023 21:11

Toilets are segregated by sex for privacy, dignity & safety.

I don’t give a bollix how somebody thinks. I care what body is in a small enclosed space with me when I am vulnerable.

grapehyacinthisactuallyblue · 20/06/2023 21:12

What's all this 'think like a woman' crap?

First time I encountered the thought of transgender was in late 80s. I was a kid, So, I was shocked that person have different identity to your born body, when my native country approved first transgender surgery and it made a news.
You can say crap, dense, whatever you like to call, but there are real people involved. What you feel doesn't matter, unless you are personally affected and have negative effect in your life, that's my opinion.

PSNonsense · 20/06/2023 21:13

They think they are woman, so they think like a woman. I'm not a trans, so I can't really explain the way they think. But that's what I think they do.

Newsflash - No one can think like a woman, unless they are - a woman! (Born with a vagina for the hard of understanding).

We are all negatively affected by this.

We no longer have any single sex spaces, sports or even the words to describe themselves.

Because some men believe they "think like women" and that therefore they are women and should have access to everything that is for women.

There is no such thing as "thinking like a woman". If you were born with a penis you are a man.

Metro is basically Pink news now.

not giving them or this idiot hand maiden the clicks.

Women are affected because we are being expected to give up our rights
