How old when you had your first child?

I’m 30 and every other day I’m seeing a pregnancy or birth announcement on social media, often from people younger than me.

i’m in a relatively new relationship, both doing masters level uni courses which finish next year, both on the same page about wanting kids, don’t currently live together but have talked about it and it’s in the pipeline for within the next year. Despite this I’m still feeling the anxiety and urge to have a baby. I was with my ex until 28 and had 3 miscarriages, I’ve had all the tests to find out why and will get extra support in another pregnancy, but it’s intensified the urge and heightened the anxiety for me.

One at 32, one at 40 with miscarriages in between. Not what I had envisioned but perfect for me in the end!

32 for my first one. I'm my antenatal group of 8, only one was younger than 30.

I had dc in my teen's, 20's, 30's and 1 at 43...

26 for the first, 27 for the second.

24, then 26 & 28. All done and dusted before 30

Had my first at 35. Just had my second at 38 with three losses in between them. Didn’t meet DH until I was almost 30 and we wanted to travel and not rush.

I was 24 with our first, 29 with our second.

37. Tried for a long time before IVF worked 👍

1 week before my 30th then 32 and 34

I was 44. Surprise baby.

19 but first in friendship group , by my second six years later lots of my friends had baby's the same age.

32 and 36, I feel like a baby compared to some of the school mums, people from NCT etc

39. Ended up with 4 of them!

I was 19. Had 2 more dc, I'm now 43 and sterilised. No fertility treatment and no miscarriages.

Had my first at 30, second at 34. We'd been trying for 4 years when I finally fell pregnant. My closest friends had their firsts between 25-36.

32 - we adopted our 2 YO. DH was 38.

I was 35. Thought I didn't want children at all in my 20's.
