TVs.

WHERE ARE THE TVs?

Odd question. I know not everyone has them, but its odd for a family home not to have a single one.

StarchySturgess1 · 07/06/2023 15:31

I really like all the gubbins and collections of things. I'll take that over a tastefully arranged collection of vases from Dunelm Mill time and time again.

It looks like a house of people who have done things and have good late night dinner parties.

Given he was previously the picture editor at Tatler

Didn't know that. That's such a posh person's post-uni job.

Neither did I. One of the newspaper articles says it.

SemperIdem · 07/06/2023 15:32

Those colour coded bookcases give big serial killer vibes.

Didn't notice that actually (busy trying to work out the whale picture in the master) but yh... no televisions downstairs just a projector in the basement for films ??

I have no clue

There's two, although at least one is disguised as a picture. It's at the other side of the fire place to the rainbow book display on the Ikea like low cabinet.

The other one is on the wall that divides one of the bedrooms from the walk in wardrobe. That one might be disguised as a mirror, or it could just be light reflection.

I can usually spot them because I'm surprised how many TVs most people have. We've only ever had one, but if you look at a lot of sale listings, it's not unusual to see 3/4/5 TVs in a family home.

I think the whale picture and the jungle picture by the window in the sitting room are both TVs.

I follow his wife on Instagram, from her photos etc it seems like they live in a big house in the countryside? I’m confused!

They moved to the country 4 years ago in 2019.. Judging by the Instagram I think (but I'm not certain!) that the kids still go to school in London but can't make out if the board or commute...

I was trying to work out if they were disguised or pictures.

That's weird in itself tbh.

FrenchandSaunders · 07/06/2023 15:44

So he's bought a massive pad in the country without selling the london house ..... I know he's relatively well known but I wouldn't have thought he'd be that loaded from what he's done on TV etc .... or is it family money as well?

Pallisers · 07/06/2023 15:44

The two fireplaces on the same wall in the same room gives me a very odd feeling. I couldn't live with that.

I sort my books by type/topic and then colour block them on the shelves - so not rows of the same colour but blocks of them. I like how it looks.

That is a seriously weird set of photos for a rental. They haven't even cleared off their toiletries from the bathroom.

That was suggested up thread but the wall didn't look deep enough get it to sit flush but you might be right on the jungle one/concealed TV's idea
Would make sense

So much to unpack in that house. The fake grass is awful, I think it may have been done as there is a window to the basement, but slabs would have looked better. The kitchen looks like it would give me splinters every time I touched a cupboard. I also have the rainbow books.

And the mix of ultra modern and then furniture that looks like you dragged it out of your Granddad's shed is just weird.

Definitely should have gone for paving stones or cobbles.. Really shocked he would go for plastic grass he seems really eco conscious!

EyelessArseFace · 07/06/2023 15:47

Those colour co-ordinated books are driving me insane.

alltoomuchrightnow · 07/06/2023 15:47

Love it all apart from the colour co ordinated, but I' m a full on eclectic maximalist

He's got a business registered on company house & has had loads of shows (at least 1 annually?) For over 10 years + him & his wife have sold every story about themselves + their children to papers since the row across the atlantic/miscarriage

His family are vets hers are doctors/creative types

They have owned property in london for nearly 20 years now & have probably saved for the country home outright

There's no way their not millionaire's by now ?

Yh it's very 'interior design' 'look at our artwork' rather then 'pay us £26k a month for somewhere to live' I wonder If their hoping it'll be rented by influencers (social media wise) or a production company (soon to be featured as the first home of some under payed but living in walking distance of london creative actor on the next BBC show)

TheBadgersArse · 07/06/2023 15:53
