So he's bought a massive pad in the country without selling the london house ..... I know he's relatively well known but I wouldn't have thought he'd be that loaded from what he's done on TV etc .... or is it family money as well?

No, not family wealth of his own. IIRC, an older man (no relation) left Fogle a lot of money.

Not a fan of the artificial grass , I’m actually shocked at that.

my first thought too!!!

Tiddlypomtiddlypom · 07/06/2023 15:59

I quite like it. But it should be all in a country house, not a terrace in Wormwood Scrubs.

It looks like Giles and Mary’s gaff, if someone paid for them to have a house organiser in.

SwedishEdith · 07/06/2023 16:00

I like the green bathroom tiles. Need to peruse the rest of it properly on a big screen.

AntiStuff · 07/06/2023 16:01

I'm boggling at the fact they apparently paid £2.75m for it in 2012, surely a typo on Rightmove? Two doors down sold the same year for £1.6m. Looks like it was 3 self contained flats when they bought it so must have needed a fair bit of work.

Dahliasrule · 07/06/2023 16:04

What is up with the blue tiles on the fireplaces? Idon’t t think they suit.

QuintanaRoo · 07/06/2023 16:05

Never trus a person who colour coordinates their book shelves like that. Shocked by the Astro turf but I suspect that garden sees little, light and would be a mossy mud pit otherwise.

JustHereWithMyPopcorn · 07/06/2023 16:06

I'd feel completely overwhelmed living in that house. there is so much going on I couldn't be calm. But each to their own.

I'm more curious as who the hell would pay £26k a month to live there!

Highandlows · 07/06/2023 16:06

In the agents says £6000 per week so not a typo.

There is a house in Elgin Crescent in Notting Hill W11 for 65000 pcm. Gosh 😅

BF is the human embodiment of thrush.

An invasive species that thrives on plastic grass.

We used to live in West Hampstead. Except it was really Cricklewood! Grin

And not only that, West Hampstead is the Hampstead on the wrong side of Finchely Road.

However, it has a much nicer vibe than the stuffy side.

He's got a business registered on company house & has had loads of shows (at least 1 annually?) For over 10 years + him & his wife have sold every story about themselves + their children to papers since the row across the atlantic/miscarriage

His family are vets hers are doctors/creative types

They have owned property in london for nearly 20 years now & have probably saved for the country home outright

There's no way their not millionaire's by now ?

He’s also in the pay of a very dodgy energy company called Utility Warehouse which operates as a pyramid scheme (sell poor value energy packages to family, friends, anyone you can badger and get them to do the same in their social circle, the more people recruited below you the more you make, with the inevitable miss-selling this model encourages; most people end up poorer from their involvement, though not Ben obviously). It’s not very ethical and UW has caused a lot of misery.

I would have thought he might have been someone with better judgement than to become the “ambassador” for UW but now I’ve seen the inside of his house I can see I was too optimistic! Those horrendous blue tiled fire places are another black mark. I can almost forgive him all these crimes because of his love of Labradors, but he is not fully redeemed even taking that into account, in my eyes (which I’m sure he’d be devastated about!).

Hbh17 · 07/06/2023 16:13

The colour coded books are a bit odd, but actually it has a lot of charm. Not just a bland, neutral, Next catalogue, show-home type place, with lots of hard edges, which seem to be the fashion now. They have collected pictures and other items from their travels, I think, and it shows personality and a life "well lived".

theemmadilemma · 07/06/2023 16:18

I like a lot of it. Someone is clearly a colourful maximalist.

Didn't pick him as a mlm salesmen but dodgy sponsorships/promotions goes hand in hand eith celebrity-TV careers so not suprised

Speaking of money I was suprised how little his wife's upper middle class working mothers in west london gig earns her - I just assumed it was a easy earner/stay at home mum type job but she's barely braking even taking into account staff & advertising cost's ?? (Not to be negative I just didn't really associate her with an actual interest in the field just alot of comnections)

Weird stalker ish thread. Absolutely no need to identify where he lives. The Standard article doesn’t do that.

gardenweed · 07/06/2023 16:22

I wonder about people who organise books by colour (whether they actually read them!). Overall, it's a bit too contrived, I'd say. I love the green bathroom floor.
The house itself is a bit pokey and narrow with no garden. I like the shed though.

TrashyPanda · 07/06/2023 16:22

That weird living room with two ugly fireplaces is so narrow.
the sofa is about 2 feet away from the tv.

overall seems cramped and pokey.

They dont live there... its on a estate website to drum up new tennants according to posters above they've said (& posted on instagram) about moving/living in their country house'

But yes the title does mention its purely nosyness (when i spotted it) & shock that got me (about the price & fully intact decor

MsFannySqueers · 07/06/2023 16:27

It would have been an excellent ‘Through the Keyhole’ TV program house. Now who lives in a house like this? Keith Lemon raking through all the crap😂.

SleepingStandingUp · 07/06/2023 16:27

I couldn't rent something like that, there's just too much stuff. Where would you put your own stuff? And why would ANYONE pay that for rent?
