It’s so cluttered and the living rooms are so narrow and cramped, it feels like it would be hard to breathe. Gives the impression that more than 2 people in a room at any time and there would be no oxygen left!

looks messy, disorganised and more than a bit dingy.

the outside is unattractive too, with that “cake filling” brick work.

kethuphouse · 07/06/2023 17:52

A rich hoarder is still a hoarder and that house is suffocating.

The funny thing is your posts about how horrible the house is are just your opinions and I bet they love the house and don’t give a fig about your criticisms about what is naff or not . That’s what eclectic style is . Individual . And no grey in sight.

I was shocked at the amount of personal stuff left in for the pictures & the price (£26,000 a month!!!!) & pre referenced this post with the fact it was invasive (though their not living their anymore) don't know where your getting my 'critisism' from ?

  • the walls are entirely grey along with the 'antique' wall mirroring & the grey/silver bath tub / closet cabinetry its been entirely constructed on the grey aesthetic 🧐 (it's just behind all the picture frames / wall decor & flooring) 😂

I actually really like it. Feels like something a bit different in a works where everything is the same. Except one bedroom they had gone too far and reminds me of my dads old allotment shed

That said, it seems to be a new estate agency, so maybe started up by a mate who's given them vastly over-inflated expectations?

Very possible they know the agent considering the lack of publicity & high price

It's an individual style for sure, and while quirky and interesting (to me), a minimalist interior might appeal to more prospective tenants.

Anyway, at first I thought the colour coded bookshelves were actually printed wallpaper!

I obviously have a very ordinary and boring little house outside N. Ken. But it's mine!

Agree with a devious poster - it looks exhausting to live in...

Yh. I honestly don't know anybody who could justify £26,000 a month in rent at all let alone afford it even business to business employee transfers wouldnt cover that much for a small family home so I dont know who the market is for

My friend had a rental in Tokyo that cost that every month. Some companies would expect that pricing. Their flat was much smaller!

Moonandstarz · 07/06/2023 18:18

I think it's quite aristo umc style.. I'd say Ben & Marina are quite umc especially with a house to rent out at 26k a month...

Anyone remember this? Ben Fogle was hanging around outside the Lindo wing all day the day on the day Prince George was born as his sister Tamara had gone into labour... Sky news even interviewed him... I'd freak out if my brother was skulking around outside the hospital if I'd gone into labour! Ben didn't miss the photo op though 😂 DH & I were pissing ourselves laughing at how random he was mooching outside the hospital.. I wonder if he'd have bothered if the Dutchess of Cambridge wasn't there 🤔

'It's another boy!' Ben Fogle announces that sister Tamara has also welcomed a newborn son the day after the Duchess Of Cambridge

While the world's eyes were on The Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital on Tuesday, Ben Fogle waited there with baited breath for a very different reason.

God that house is hideous. So tacky..

Madamecastafiore · 07/06/2023 18:31

Jesus gives me a headache just looking at that shit everywhere

Readingisgoodforyou · 07/06/2023 18:31

Shit the bed.... migraine inducing clutter

Bluebellsbells · 07/06/2023 18:33

I love it! Say yes to nik knacks!!!!

Ihavekids · 07/06/2023 18:33

Some nice house plants. The rest of it is an utter shitshow. Disappointing.

I was at Portsmouth Poly, knew him through the drama society. He had that public school confidence and arrogance but was certainly a bit thick/slow and not very good!
He was so pushy at castings. I often don't believe him talking about his 'accidental' celebrity, and it looks like he bought his interior clutter rather than genuinely accumulating it.

Pushy as in showing up outside the Lindo wing when his sister goes into labour the same time as Duchess Kate & the world's press is waiting outside & his mug get broadcast live globally as he anxiously awaits news of his sisters dialations? 🤔
A simple text to his sister or her partner would have sufficed I'm sure but why miss a good photo op? 😁

I would be very disturbed by someone who arranged their books by colour, although I can’t quite put my finger on why!

I used to arrange my books by colour, it looks fantastic. The down side you can never work out where anything is so I dont anymore

EpicChaos · 07/06/2023 18:36

I quite like it, though not so much that bathroom with all the greenery.
I wondered if the rental price might be do with hiring out for Wimbledon but the tenancy doesn't start until July, so that can't be it. £26kpcm though :-/ just WoW!

Moonandstarz · 07/06/2023 18:50

Polew · 07/06/2023 15:48

He's got a business registered on company house & has had loads of shows (at least 1 annually?) For over 10 years + him & his wife have sold every story about themselves + their children to papers since the row across the atlantic/miscarriage

His family are vets hers are doctors/creative types

They have owned property in london for nearly 20 years now & have probably saved for the country home outright

There's no way their not millionaire's by now ?

Marina his wife also runs The Bump antenatal classes with her sister Chiara who's a doctor. They cater to very rich Londoners... I wonder does he get sponsorship also for all his exploring?

Yh thats a bit weird he lives within 20 minutes of the place surely he'd pop in to say hi/see how she's going {at most} & visit after the birth {at best}

Why would anybody hang around outside & do interviews + it hadnt even been announced the DoC had been admitted till quite late right ??

@ReeseWitherfork I think it looks really vibrant and take no issue with it at all! But then I’m an English teacher who loves chick lit’ and very often judges a book by its cover … so what do I know!

I also dog ear pages and write in margins and fold spines and read multiple books at once. My book owners license will be revoked any moment, I assume.
