3 bed terrace in outer London 1999. Second child, 4 bed semi, London/Kent borders 2004.

riotlady · 04/06/2023 15:41

2 bed flat, 2018. Will be having second in a 2 bed house this year!

Makegoodchoices · 04/06/2023 15:42

4 bed detached - but it had taken me 7 years to get pregnant! Would have been a two bed terrace if it had happened on my timescales!

DaisyWaldron · 04/06/2023 15:42

A 1930s 2 bedroom end terrace ex-council house with a small garden. We still live there, now with two teenagers, but we built an extension giving us a third bedroom and bigger kitchen/dining room. It's small, but I love the location and would be happy to stay here for the foreseeable future.

Four bed detached . Up north though!

Same

A two bed flat I shared with a friend, I stayed there until I could afford to buy a flat when my son was about three.

3 bed town house in USA, rented but paid for by company I worked for. We owned an Edwardian 4 bed semi detached back in London though.

When we moved back to UK we couldn’t get our American-sized furniture through the door.

Variation on here is interesting! I wonder if it would be skewed in one direction if I asked the year too

Alarae · 04/06/2023 16:44

3/4 bed semi detached in south east, 2020.

We moved from our first house to this one before TTC as knew affordability would plummet when we had a child.

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 04/06/2023 16:45

Four bed detached. I had my first child in 2016.

Lolloped · 04/06/2023 16:46

3 bed detached in midlands bought in 2012. First baby born 2015, second 2017. Third baby born last year and we have recently moved into 5 bed in south west.

One bed semi-basement mansion flat (owned) with small courtyard garden. 1989. The living room was massive (24' x 14') and we had the 'luxury' of a bathroom with big corner bath. The only bedroom, however, was just large enough for a double bed and nothing else. Put it on the market as soon as we knew we were expecting DS.

We completed on the sale (and purchase of a three bed Victorian terrace with three reception rooms, small conservatory plus garden) when DS was 6 weeks.

LidlOrAldi · 04/06/2023 16:55

Three-bed semi.

mondaytosunday · 04/06/2023 16:56

Five bed house (I had two teenage stepsons, one lived with us full time).

RampantIvy · 04/06/2023 17:01

Large, three bedroom 200 year old farmhouse.

BigFishontheTelly · 04/06/2023 17:17

A 1 bed flat. Dh, ds and I moved into a 2 bed bungalow, when ds was 3.

LindorDoubleChoc · 04/06/2023 17:19

Small 3 bed London terrace with courtyard garden. But we were 38 and 36.

Shayisgreat · 04/06/2023 17:22

2 bed flat. So glad we moved before lockdown as we could not have managed if we lived there still.

Yorkshiredolls · 04/06/2023 17:25

Bought first house 2 bed Victorian Terrace in 2014, DC 1 born 2016, moved to 3 bed end terrace when pregnant with DC2 2019

MullerInk · 04/06/2023 17:30

3 bedroom mid-terrace. I loved it at the time but it had a damp problem and the bathroom was downstairs!
By DC2 were living in a 4 bedroom detached in our dream location. Every day I'm grateful this is my home.
