We lived in a little 2-bed cottage and absolutely loved it.

That sounds so cosy and wonderful

3 bed semi.

We've moved to a 4 bed semi now we have 2 kids but only have 2 useable bedrooms as house needs renovating. 16 month old is still in with us until we've sorted a room for him. He wakes at 5am and doesn't go back down 😑.

Slightly shabby 3 bed semi, our first house we bought together. Baby in the box room.

5childrenand · 04/06/2023 13:55

3 bed terrace.

RailwayCutting · 04/06/2023 13:55

2 bed terrace 2004

woldscotsma · 04/06/2023 13:56

3 bed detached.

But now live in a much smaller 3 bed in a much nicer area. Value of the house is about the same.

Beginningless · 04/06/2023 13:59

3 bed semi, 2016. When I fell pregnant we lived in one room in a communal living scenario! But we bought the house and moved out asap once we knew.

newtb · 04/06/2023 14:00

4 bed detached, had been married 20 years.

USaYwHatNow · 04/06/2023 14:01

We live in 3 bed semi and have just had our first baby. Will have our second child here in the next couple years (God willing) and then will probably look to move after they're settled in primary school as we have family come to stay regularly.

Cuwins · 04/06/2023 14:01

We are in a 2 bed flat and have a DD 15m now- have been here since before she was born.
I would love a garden but to afford that I would have to go back to work full time and we would have to move to a less nice area so staying here for now. For a 2 bed it is pretty big.

UndercoverCop · 04/06/2023 14:03

3 bed semi, chose to have DC later in life after being able to buy a family home, my first property was a one bed flat. Both work full time, both work service jobs for several years prior to buying the house (a complete wreck that needed a lot of work)

FfeminyddCymraeg · 04/06/2023 14:03

3 bed end of terrace for DC1, 3 bed semi for DC2. Now in a 4 bed detached with the DC and 2 dogs 😅

donutosaurus · 04/06/2023 14:04

4 bed semi bought in 2015. First baby 2018

inomniaparatis · 04/06/2023 14:04

We're in a 2 bed flat with a 1 yr old, hoping to move in the next couple of years if we have baby no.2!

BeeCucumber · 04/06/2023 14:05

We too had a cosy 2 bed cottage - aga, two cats and a dog - living the dream. We had to move when DC 2, 3 and 4 came along as it became a bit of a squeeze. Happy days!

Hellocatshome · 04/06/2023 14:05

A tiny two up two down terrace. Moved when I was pregnant with DS2 to a bigger 3 bed terrace, its not huge but it felt like moving into a mansion after that first house.

fedupallthisrubbish · 04/06/2023 14:06

3 bed ground floor flat in London - loved it and still do!

Theoldcuriosityshop · 04/06/2023 14:07

2 bed bungalow.

Floralnomad · 04/06/2023 14:07

3 bed detached , it was a nice size but the lounge was quite narrow .

A little two bed terrace.

It was 1999, first house. Loved it, and I kept it spotless

<eyes current shit tip>

A one bedroom apartment in central Melbourne when she was first born and then I moved back to the UK to be near my mum and was allocated a beautiful two bedroom council Maisonette within six weeks. I stayed there for nine months, ghen i bought on a single parents salary with nursery fees, no tax credits, a three bedroom detached garage walking distance from the station.
I wish every day we had stayed there 🤣

EdithStourton · 04/06/2023 14:10

Was living with the ILs.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 04/06/2023 14:11

2 bed first floor flat with no garden. Stayed there until ds was 5 then moved away and so we're able to buy a 3 bed house with big garden- seemed like a palace!!

Upsadiddles · 04/06/2023 14:12

A 3 bed semi (2017). It felt huge after moving from a tiny 2 bed terrace and was perfect once DC1 was born. It’s our forever home. However, with the arrival of a second we have realised the the box room won’t fit a proper bed in it, the kitchen is tiny (we keep tripping over each other in there) and, despite regular decluttering, storage space is an issue. So we are planning an extension.

Teachingteacher · 04/06/2023 14:13

2-bed, 120 square metre apartment.
