I’m absolutely freezing this evening and just put the heating on. Anyone else cold?

Yes. Back under my heated throw. Had a winter coat on yesterday. Fucking sick of this endless winter.

Mrscarlossainz · 01/06/2023 20:29

I put the heating on this morning for an hour. I was cold with a jumper and thick socks on! Can't believe it's June today 😞

PastTheGin · 01/06/2023 20:30

South East here and I am sitting under a blanket, wearing Uggs and a fleece jumper!

christabellax · 01/06/2023 20:31

Freezing in Scotland have had to put the fire on ... 🔥

I’ve caved and put the heating on.
scrivette · 01/06/2023 20:31

Got sunburnt at Brighton Beach today, there was a cool wind and didn't realise how hot it was (stupid of me).
Back home in London and it feels very cold.

ElizaMulvil · 01/06/2023 20:32

8 degrees here at 8am. Struggling to get past 10-11C all day. ( South Yorkshire/ Derbyshire borders, quite high up though. )

Now wearing 3 jumpers - geraniums I put outside a week ago not happy - cats snuggled up together - succumbed and put heat on for 2 hours at 3pm, in anticipation of it falling to single figures again soon - briefly rose to dizzy heights of 18 C and civilisation again - so much for flaming June!

It was cold this morning and I went out in boots and jeans. But scorching this afternoon. SE London/Kent borders.

Chilly now but I'm far too tight to out the heating on in May!

It’s June.

varsitychic · 01/06/2023 20:33

London - freezing - heated throws on!

AnneElliott · 01/06/2023 20:33

Yes of course! I'm still a day behind!

EbonyRaven · 01/06/2023 20:35

ThankmelaterOkay · 01/06/2023 20:32

It’s June.

Exactly this. This thread is batshit. 😜

WordtoYoMumma · 01/06/2023 20:36

South East here and it's scorchio!

Tarkan · 01/06/2023 20:36

I'm on the east coast of Scotland with windows open. Living room is sitting at 22° right now.

I do have a bigger window I want to open wide but I've had massive bees come in every time I've done that in the last few days (one bumble and two huge long ones). I guess that's what I get for having a bee garden below my living room window though.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 01/06/2023 20:37

It's very pleasant here (London) but I must say it was nice to come in from the evening chill and feel the built up warmth of the house when we got home.

ThankmelaterOkay · 01/06/2023 20:37

I haven’t put my heating on.

I just cut out the middle man and bank transferred some money in Putin’s fucking war chest.

Chipsahoy · 01/06/2023 20:38

NE Scotland and I had the log burner on this morning. Glorious this afternoon, lovely and warm until a short while ago. Blanket this evening in my old farmhouse.

poppym12 · 01/06/2023 20:39

I've been sitting in the sun today in shorts and a vest top. It's lovely. (SW coast)

CosmosQueen · 01/06/2023 20:41

I was so cold yesterday I lit the wood burner. I couldn’t get warm despite wearing two jumpers, a thick fleece, trousers and woolly socks so I went back to bed fully clothed in the afternoon.
This morning wasn’t any better, although the sun did come out late afternoon, the wind is bitter.

AutisticLegoLover · 01/06/2023 20:42

How quickly people forget the huge bills that were during winter and spring! It's June ffs.

goingtotown · 01/06/2023 20:43

3rd night having a hot water bottle.

CatsOnTheChair · 01/06/2023 20:43

Not yes, but not far off.
Suspect it will be the next few days it goes on - dropping to 6 overnight on the forecast for the next few days.
That warmer week last week? That was summer - into autumn now!

whenindoubtgotothelibrary · 01/06/2023 20:44

I've been wfh in woolly socks and a jumper all week. Cold and windy in my bit of London. This is a cold house at the best of times though.

ThursdayLastWeek · 01/06/2023 20:45

Wow. I live in Cornwall and we’ve been seriously considering changing to the summer duvet Grin

It’s been another glorious summers day here. Glad to turn the heating off and make the solar panels do some work after the winter!

arlequin · 01/06/2023 20:47

It's been lovely in South London today. Got window open!

FedUpWithTheNHS · 01/06/2023 20:49

Yorkshire here and the heating came on automatically this morning….
And yes I was contemplating putting it on this evening too.

Cold and damp.

Its 2nd week of 22 and 23 degrees in Ireland. Currently 19 degrees outside.

I'm in Ireland too, currently laying in my hammock enjoying the last of the evening sun. It's been so lovely the past while. Winter felt like it went on forever so its very welcome.
